until now no one has talked about a very important thing yet: the influence of AI in the game, in this thread I want to discuss how AI can affect the Army Group and how to understand from its actions your chances of winning, I I will focus on the 1939 Army Grop where it is easier to interpret the signs of the AI, but when I have more experience in the other scenarios I will also analyze those, you can help in writing this guide by reporting events that I could add to this list which will be periodically updated
The influence of various events on the game will be ranked in:Irrelevant,Interesting Events,Change of strategy and Game Changer
Army Group Western Front 1939
German Army Group B Conquer Belgium:This is something that always happens and I assure you that 90% will have no influence on the game, Belgium rarely survives more than 6 rounds and very often will be reconquered by the French who, however, often will not be able to advance further. Second Jugoslavian Army take Sofia:another very common thing, yugoslavia often tends to attack bulgaria but most of the time it fails to make further progress so ignore this fact Second Jugoslavian Army attack Hungary:Another very common thing, hungary starts with few troops and very often fails to create a full army in the first rounds giving space to Yugoslavia to conquer Szeged but in the meanwhile the Hungarians manage to create a good army and repel the invaders. Italian Western Army take Nice:Western italy tends to attack france immediately without strengthening the armies so it is very often rejected or in any case does not affect much at least at the beginning German Army Group B conquer Copenaghen:it never happened to me but if it did it wouldn't be very relevant First Jugoslav Army repels the Germans:it does not happen often, if it happens it could strengthen the second army which perhaps could do something interesting, but even if it manages to defeat the first German attacks it will not be able to resist for long, so it will not be very important Secon Jugoslav Army Conquer Bulgaria/Budapest:like the previous one but more common, if it happens it could create some problems for Romania and it will last a long time, obviously combined with other things it can turn the game in favor of the allies but by itself it is not too special German Army Group C conquer Copenaghen:even more unlikely but if it happens the German armies that have now finished their work in Poland will cross the North Sea and create many problems for the British Second Polish Army breaks through in the south:It happens very often but to be truly relevant it needs the support of Yugoslavia and a good resistance from the first army things that sometimes don't happen, but if it happens they can quickly defeat Hungary and Romania and keep the Germans busy for a long time. First Polish Army Hold Warsaw:if smigly stays in warsaw and the poles manage to afford some artillery the germans will be blocked for a while giving free action to the second polish army German group C takes warsaw with Guderian:hopefully Guderian's tanks can enter warsaw in the second round, in this case poland will be conquered in no time First Polish army group Hold Warsaw and Poznan:It only happened once, and it didn't end well for the Germans, the Poles kept both cities and created armies strong enough to repel the Germans and take Berlin German Group B conquer the Benelux without losing all the units:this is also very rare but if it happens, well the axis won

I think that scenarios are different depending on the side You are playing Since 1939 is the only Army Group I played I can say that Axis is much stronger. I completed almost every Axis nation (except both Italians) and it was always extremely easy. Playing Poland and Yugoslavia (especially Eastern) was a pain. It is not hard, but You need to reconquer almost everything. It takes time even though it is not too long turns-wise.

And the French go on a rampage, and take Italy, and most of Western Germany.

I wrote an an analysis on why I believe axis has the advantage in this army group. In short, axis have better generals and starting positions.

@ shadowninja3059,
they often happen but here I am not talking about their probability but their influence on the game, currently I have not written all the possible events

In my first army group I remember that Poland almost conquered the entire east of the map but the second group went too far south meeting another German group plus all the Balkan countries and well that made in the end 5 countries attacked it at the same time and all of Poland fell mental note Germany is not good as it seems, even Poland can cope with it and by the way denmark never falls you always have to declare war on sweden so that your allies have an entry by land

So you are still forced to invade by sea.

Yes, but Sweden has more than one entrance from the sea and Denmark has 1 or 2 because normally the other two are occupied by a ship.

Happened to me twice in a roll, both times, the British landed with a massive force and stormed through the Benelux if I remember correctly. I had to pay Group B 100-200 a round so they won't fall to the British. Also Group A is useless so the French became insanely op later on the game, recking through everyone.

NotRandom, I've played Western Front a lot on both sides but I have never seen the Allies win in the West. French Center slowly loses to German A and German B launches a nasty counterattack at French North. All the British Troops get sunk by Donitz.
