No, that's how you make a conquest. Splitting up countries is an important part of army group mode and I'm not changing that. Plus, it makes fighting on multiple fronts more manageable for the AI. But that has locked army groups. What do you mean by that? Define "locked".

A less radical change to the map with no Italian East Africa. A map for Eastern 1941 will be coming soon.

There is really not a lot of German army generals in this game who fought in North Africa. Only ones I could find are Rommel and Kesselring. Guess I'll have to keep/include the generals involved in invading the Balkans: List, Weichs, Kleist, and Brauchitsch. Maybe I'll throw in Manstein to counter Eisenhower.

Not happy with how this turned out, feel like something can be done to make it better.

For 1941 African Front Doesn't French Army Group land should belong to the German since it belong to the Vichy and Vichy then gave it to German. Also Free French only conquered equatorial area of Africa with Gabon. And it will be better to include Syria and Middle East by removing Morrocco and certain part of Algeria since North Africa 1941 main focus is Libya and Egypt. Also if Syria were added then there will be Vichy France in this game. So the British Army in Egypt will be under command by Wavell and Cunningham. Then for Iraq it will be Axis allies since Iraq Anglo War Also Slim and Auchinlek will command the Indian and British Middle East Troops (Maybe covering Southern Pakistan until Levant Area (Israel Palestine Jordan)

There was not any significant fighting in those areas either. Vichy only gave Germany Alsace Lorraine; the Germans only occupied Northern France and after Operation Torch, all of Mainland France. Germany never directly controlled French territory outside of Europe. It does not make sense to add Vichy unless you want another neutral nation for some reason. If you check my first map, I have the Free French Army Group in the more historically accurate place: Equatorial Africa. You most likely only looked at the second map, where I instead gave them some of the territory that they gained from Operation Torch. This was done in order to not make the map too big, a big problem about the first map, while maintaining some historical accuracy.

I rarely learnt about Africa during WW2 which make me think the French give Algeria to German also since both WC3 and WC4 The Afrika Korps conquer Algeria Thanks ET you make wrong due to Historical unaccurate. also i forgot about Africa map which make me forgot the location and how Equatorial Africa look like

I think I'm going to go with the 2nd map for North Africa. So far, I'm thinking about what generals each army group will use. This is all subject to change.
Free French Army Group: De Gaulle, Leclerc American Army Group: Eisenhower, Patton, Bradley British Army Group: Montgomery, Alexander, Cunningham Greek Army Group: Papagos
German Army Group A: Kesselring, Guderian? German Army Group B: Rommel, Brauchitsch, Italian First Army Group: Badoglio, Messe, Riccardi Italian Second Army Group: Graziani, Cavallero
I'm looking for a historically accurate and very strong general that could accompany Kesselring in German A. If you have any alternatives to Guderian, I'll consider them. To me, Guderian fits what I'm looking for the best. Strong, yes, but historically accurate, only a little bit. Guderian became Inspector General of Armoured Troops in March 1943 and his responsibilities were to oversee the panzer arm and the training of panzer forces. All he was able to was improve tank destroyers and fix flaws in third generation tanks, like the famous Tiger Tank, which saw action in the Tunisian Campaign. The historical accuracy of putting in Guderian is very shaky, but it's better than nothing I guess.
Easytech really needs to add more German generals that fought in Africa.

I would make it that French Africa is neutral until American reinforcements come to the map turn 15-ish, and then it turns into a split between the allied and Vichy territories, because the Americans landed in Africa in '43, long after Greece was taken.

For an alternative to Guderian, they could (although shakily, as he went into Africa in '43) add one great Panzer General into the game: Baron Hasso Erich Von Manteuffel. If you want, Brautchitsch is possible, or Keitel, being in High command.

Maybe I went a little overbroad with my brainstorming. I kind of combined my two main ideas into one. Mainland Italy and Greece are not shown because they will be staying the same as they currently are. Even this map is inaccurate historically because Italian East Africa was captured by Britain even before the invasion of USSR.

If easytech made a realistic army group set in 1942 North Africa, Greece would be occupied by the axis and all the French territories would be neutral.
