Now for 1943:Disclaimer: 1943 is slightly more difficult than 1939, as the AI now have some tech upgrades. In order to be comfortable in 1943, it's recommended to have at least PMI and MRB. 1943 conquest favors Allies instead of Axis, and Germany will be a sitting duck for about 30 turns. 3 starsGermany: With a huge amount of income and oil fields, you are now one step away from being unstoppable. Your enemies, UK and USSR had set up defensive measures to put you back into your place, but fret not, as you are given 2 good air generals: Kesselring and Student. Place the former in Berlin, and the latter in Kiev, and watch your enemies crumble away into nonexistence. A huge advantage of having MRB in 1943 Germany is you can occupy Leningrad on turn 2 and prevent Timoshenko from spawning.

And now for 1950:Disclaimer: 1950 is a whole lot different than 1939 and 1943. The war is now mostly fought with nukes and missiles, instead of tanks and artillery. Your generals aren't invincible now as the AI will attempt to nuke them. In order to be comfortable in 1950, PMI and MRB are a must, level 3 atomic bomb is highly recommended (400 damage), and 8 hex air range for capturing cities like New Delhi-unnamed city-Chongking, Taipei-Osaka, Riga-Amsterdam. 3 starsPRC: The civil war is not over yet, but world war 3 has started! Quick, take out South Korea and defeat the Kuomintang, because Japan and USA will show up with their annoying navy! You will need to help your ally in Europe, the USSR, it alone couldn't possibly handle the entire NATO! (Recommended cities to take are Oslo and Ankara)
USSR: Don't worry China, your comrade got your back. Our generals are so great, nukes not needed for cities! Europe couldn't stand a chance with our two-way attack (from Scandinavia and Alps), and we have Timoshenko to run our errands in Asia! I recommend this for starters to familiarise themselves to the surroundings of 1950.
France: Remember that time when we crossed the Alps? Let's do it again! Capture the neutral cities (except Prague), and head to the Balkans, where you'll meet a Soviet army. Defeat them, and enter the Middle East, while also attacking Poland and USSR from the south. By this point your income is ballooning from all the cities you take, so finish off the Soviets, and if you happen to capture Chongking, now it's time to spend all of your money on them!
UK: You can do exactly what the French did, but since you're closer to Norway, maybe you can also help defend it from the Soviets. But in Asia, unlike the French, you have a missile silo!
USA: Forget Europe, they didn't reserve a city for you to stop the Soviets there. Why not dominate Africa instead? With a few armored cars, Egypt will be yours, and you'll enter USSR from the Middle East. In Asia, you still have Manila, but it's so close to China! Well, I guess that's where we'll use our first nukes... forget Cuba 2 starsIran: Which way should Iran? To the left, there's Turkey besieged by Soviets, and super tank spamming in the Balkans; to the right, there's neutral India, and intense missiling from Singapore to Japan... Why not do both?
Iraq: Iran, slightly nearer to Turkey.
Poland: For once, you're in a safe position! UK and France didn't like you switching sides after the war, so they started to drop missiles on you (and a lot of them!) Neutral Germany is too fortified to be captured, but ohh boy, look at the neutral cities below you! Capture Bucharest and start super tank spamming in the Balkans, while you watch USSR take on the whole Europe.
Australia: Why is everyone so far away? No matter, Tokyo will always be open for us to kill China. Australia also has a field artillery to defeat Thailand, and a heavy tank to take Bogota.
Canada: In Asia, we'll be taking Tokyo, but where would Crerar go? Not to Europe obviously, but there's Cuba and Colombia, both are good bases for an African invasion.
Japan: Hey China, remember that time when we um... (1939 flashbacks) Looks like we're having a round 2! Put your generals on the starting units, and prepare for a bloody fight with China! Okamura always get nuked
Spain: French crossing the Alps looks cool, let's try it as well! Maybe we can join the little fighting that's happening in Africa...
Sweden: Another Yugoslavia 1939, but this time you're facing even more powerful generals. Luckily, there's a water border between you and USSR, and neutral Finland nearby to flank the enemies. I even had to deploy a battleship general, and only rocket artillery Bai made it out alive.
Turkey: The Soviets are the only threat to your country, so defeat them, and conquer the Middle East. 1 starBulgaria: Athens and Istanbul are tough to take at the start, wait for the Soviets to crack them while you focus on the neutral cities. After that, steal the cities, and begin your expansion.
Cuba: Contrary to popular belief, this conquest isn't hard at all. You're close to the Americas, but there aren't a lot of cities there, and you'll do all the fighting yourself. Instead, head to Portugal, and have an intense fight in Spain. After that, taking over France and UK becomes super easy as USSR will be helping you. Now you just need to conquer the neutral cities to enter the Middle East and Asia, but for the Americas... you're Cuba, aren't you?
Egypt: Same as Iraq, but you start in Africa.
Hungary: Poland lite.
Mongolia: Focus on taking the ROC city in Burma, which allows you to spawn your generals at the frontline. Then you're basically the same as Thailand.
North Korea: Focus on taking the South Korean port, and recruit a battleship general, which not only helps on cracking Seoul, but also useful in invasion of Japan. If Choe is still alive, send him to fort-take New Delhi.
Thailand: Conquer South East Asia, and expand into India and Manila. Beware of Devers.
Belgium: You can cross the Alps like the French did, but beware of the Soviets that will approach you from Scandinavia.
Brazil: Too far from Japan, so you can't capture Tokyo in time, the only way you can win this is to conquer Middle East, but luckily USSR isn't going to paraspam like China does.
Denmark: You must capture the Swedish port, and try to protect Sweden from the Soviets, otherwise you're next on the Soviets' list.
Greece: Turkey lite, but income is critical at the beginning.
Mexico: You're just barely close enough to capture Tokyo, which allows you to slowly kill China while you're trudging through Africa.
Netherlands: This conquest is very, very interesting. How could a 1 star nation possibly juggle around 2 WTO superpowers at the same time? Tip: try to defend Sweden, and capture Tokyo.
Norway: The Soviets won't head for your capital, so defending Sweden only requires a battleship general and artilleries.
Portugal: Spain lite.
ROC: Try your best to capture Chongking, and prevent China from expanding. You're too low on income to defeat China, so I suggest to go around central Asia and capture the small cities there, until you show up on Moscow with a large army.
South Korea: Even harder than Sweden, but there's a way to play this comfortably. Give up on Seoul, and retreat to Tokyo, saving up money in the process. When Osaka is open, take it, and take Taipei, then paratroop towards the ROC city as close as possible. Missile the city, and start playing like ROC.

And last but not least, 1960:Disclaimer: While 1960 looks very similar to 1950, it is to be known that there is a shortage of neutral cities in this era, and more countries participating. 1960 AI now have good tech upgrades, and it appears that a lot of countries start with max tech troops. To be comfortable in 1960, 8 hex air, MRB, level 3 atomic bomb, and decent artillery & tank upgrades are a must, hydrogen bomb is recommended as you'll have 9 more nukes to use (takes 3 turns to build), and also LRB if you can afford it. 3 starsPRC: Same strategy as 1950, conquering South Korea and Japan while sending troops to Europe. In 1960 the European front is different. Secure Athens and wipe out Italy with nukes, then expand from there. Or you can just capture Norway.
USSR: This conquest is arguably equally easy as 1950. Even though you now have to deal with Germany and Italy, they aren't a threat, and are more of a nuisance until either of them gets too big. Your northern army is strong enough to conquer all the way to Belgium (without going through Germany), and your southern army is good enough to take down Italy. As for Asia, your troops seem to be good at taking Sapporo. Your African army overpowers USA army there, and you have a missile silo near Cuba (but you can only nuke Washington with a LRB).
France: Cross the Alps just like in 1950, but since there's no neutral cities in the way, you have to prepare a strong army to take down the countries in the Balkans. If you have powerful generals then this conquest is a piece of cake.
UK: Same as France, but you can have Monty as part of your team, and a decent navy to keep the Soviets busy in Scandinavia. However if there are enemy cities in Cuba left uncaptured, you have to send an army all the way from Dublin. where Singapore
USA: The strategy for Cuba is same for 1950. For Africa your army is outgunned, but if you manage your defenses well, you could defeat the incoming Soviets. Dakar is the closest factory city to Egypt unfortunately, so I suggest spawning generals from the Soviet missile city and march them there. For Asia, prevent the enemies from capturing Japan by taking Tokyo first, and you must save up 9 nukes and sufficient money to nuke-take Chinese cities that could deploy their nukes, otherwise every time you take Hong Kong, the PRC would gladly reset your progress (and probably take Manila if you're not careful). 2 starsIndia: Easy immediate enemy (Saudi Arabia), and the European front is not that hard. Your position is 100% safe until Australia captures Bangkok and starts to send paratroopers and a super tank towards you, but it also allows you to open up the Asian-Pacific front without having to go through the Americas.
Poland: Germany in this era plays more defensively, so as long as you don't engage Manstein directly you're all good. Sweep through Europe, and enter North America from Canada with super tanks.
Romania: Same as Poland, but you're in a more convenient position, and you have Dumitrescu as part of your team.
Australia: This country is best played as Japan lite (but without Tokyo) by entering China via Shanghai. If you leave China alone, they will send troops to Bangkok and India, and will nuke-take your cities.
Canada: Play defensive in Japan, while sending troops to take Cuba, and enter Middle East from Africa.
Germany: This conquest is easy if you know what you're doing. Throw Manstein to the frontline (to avoid losing him to nukes), and focus on Hungary and Romania, before engaging USSR and Poland.
Italy: Same as France, but you're closer to the Balkans.
Japan: After South Korea dies, you will be China's nuke-testing ground. You must use Tokyo as nuke-bait, and conquer Korean peninsula to add the number of nuke-baits for China. But that doesn't stop China from nuking all your generals.
Spain: Same as France, but you're further from the Balkans.
Turkey: Easier than 1950, having to face only Bagramyan and Malinovsky, and the 2 Arab generals are weak. After capturing Tehran, simply drop nukes on the annoying Kuznetsov. 1 starBulgaria: Kinda like 1939, but you decided to join the Allies when you realize Germany isn't the paraspamming monster anymore.
Cuba: Eisenhower spawns early on in a carrier to give you trouble, and General Devers will move down to put their flag on your soil. I recommend you to check out my 1950 strategy as it applies to here as well.
Egypt: Just like 1950, but Ankara will be captured sooner than you think.
Hungary: Too close to the frontline for your own comfort, so there's little margin of error that you can have in the opening.
Iran: Your only direction is west. As a bonus, you have your very own nuclear factory!
Iraq: Same as Iran, but the absence of nuclear factory is replaced by an opportunity of conquering Saudi Arabia for yourself, without sacrificing the chance of taking Ankara.
Mongolia: China lite. The starting troops are almost sufficient in capturing your first city in Korea, and just like China, it's recommended to send some fast generals to secure a city in Europe.
North Korea: Mongolia lite. As the only 1 star country that has the ability to build and deploy nukes, use that to your advantage wisely.
Thailand: Without immediate access to Korea and Japan, as well as being far from Europe, makes this a North Korea lite right? Not this time, because you have the opportunity to conquer Saudi Arabia for yourself, and Manila is pretty much a stronghold that can only be threatened via Hong Kong.
Belgium: Just do the same like you would in 1950.
Brazil: Capturing available Cuban and nearby cities are easy tasks for your starting army, but Egypt alone is not an easy country to capture, let alone the rest of WTO.
Denmark: The Soviets will now charge towards Berlin instead of Sweden, so Sweden isn't much of a priority now. Your only option is to brute force through the Soviet wave in order to survive.
Greece: Slightly harder than 1950 due to the absence of super tank technology, but the strategy is exactly the same.
Netherlands: With Germany in the fight, you now have a larger breathing room before the Soviets reach you. One of the few conquests where high risks comes with high rewards, you can try and use the Belgium strategy!
Norway: Same as Denmark, but you're tucked in a position that's safe from Soviet generals, nonetheless you still have to brute force through the Soviet wave.
Portugal: Same as France, but you're even further from the Balkans.
Saudi Arabia: You don't start with a factory city, but the nearest ones are 1 star countries, and you have artilleries to put your generals on. Even though you're surrounded by enemies, their attacks are disorganised, thus you only need some units to defend your cities.
South Korea: Forget what I said that this conquest is impossible without powerful ion cannon, though the guide relies heavily on RNG. The never-ending tug-of-war of Pyongyang gives the perfect opportunity for Chinese generals to wipe out your army, and you can't do anything about it due to your meager economy. No matter what you do, you're the first target of Chinese nukes. (I'm putting in the Yugoslavia colour, it's a tier below dark red)
Sweden: I find this easier than 1950, not only because Finland is easy to take, and you don't have to face a direct Soviet push. Feel free to sacrifice all your generals on wiping out the Soviet army (especially Timoshenko), and I wish you a happy conquest afterwards.

The only thing that makes this conquest hard is to capture a city in Europe, and the expansion as well. See, in 1950 taking Ankara, Istanbul or Athens is enough for you to conquer Europe, because there are a lot of neutral cities that protects you from the enemies, and you could spam super tanks all the way to Lyon. But in 1960 it's not so simple. Bucharest belongs to Romania, and you have Italy to deal with, which obviously means that you'll be slogging in southern Europe while you hopelessly watch USSR getting pushed back from the north (not to mention more nukes raining down on your cities). Therefore I highly suggest to send some troops to capture a city in Northern Europe as well (preferably Norway). With China's nuclear facilities economic strength, you can save enough nuke to wipe out the entire Italy in 1 turn, then take Lyon from there.

That is if China gets Athens, but unless you get Ankara or having a large army to secure it, Athens is usually in the firm grip of your allies for some reason, despite the big presence of enemy navy there. I'll try playing again to see if this works. Edit: Successfully captured Athens, now it's just saving up nukes for Italy. I'll change the difficulty colour then.

I'll try playing again to see if this works. Edit: Successfully captured Athens, now it's just saving up nukes for Italy. I'll change the difficulty colour then. There aren't many good alternatives. To nuke a key NATO city, Rome is our only viable option. Berlin is too dangerous. If we can't capture Athens, simply restart.

Just like in 1950, the Soviets usually leave it at half health, allowing you to take it. This requires fast generals though.

UK can get their hands on Riga via Oslo-Stockholm, and the Soviets can take London from Oslo with MRB from Riga. PRC needs an airbase that can directly threaten Lyon or London, but Oslo's airport lvl is 2. Besides Rome, Berlin is the only one as it can take London via Amsterdam or Lyon via Cologne/Munich.

Oslo itself isn't that powerful, but with the Soviets on your back it's only threat is UK nuke-taking the city, which is very unlikely if you know how their AI works. It's the expansion that's game-changing. The countries around Norway are all 1-star countries that are too weak to resist your attack, and USSR would had nuked them at least once to make it easier for you to capture. By the time you took Amsterdam, Manstein would either be wiped out of existence or have his life hanging by a thread, so you could have a chance at taking/stealing Berlin.

So you are going with the Berlin route. Based on my experience, neither Lyon nor London will be nuked to the verge of falling by the Soviets, so we have to nuke them. Only 4 NATO cities can nuke at least one out of these two: Berlin, Rome, Paris, Madrid. Paris and Madrid are too far away. The role of Oslo in your strategy sounds like a northern Athens, a stepping stone to a nuke city. Taking the Scandinavian and Low countries does sound appealing though.

In my opinion, Oslo is safer than Athens. Since the cities are interconnected with level 2 airports, we have a city to fall back on in case one of the cities gets nuke-taked. There is no such city for Athens except for Rome and Bucharest, but these cities are subject to heavy enemy fire.

It can only be aerially threatened by Bucharest. Once the Soviets nuke Messe there's nothing threatening on land as well. I can't think of any danger to Oslo, but Berlin, your key city, is at the center of the conflict. That's my primary concern, unless you mean to save a lot of money and go all the way from Berlin to London/Lyon in 1 turn.
