Thanks Luigi Sansonetti , 1939 is the first challenge conquest new players must and will face, so this will be very helpful to them. I like the * that you place on countries that indicate which ones are best for challenges. The industry rewards in this conquest are the same as 1975, but 1975 is probably harder, so there might be a minimum requirement of generals and tech to complete an easy rated conquest. What do you think? Also South Korea is indeed hard, even more so when the genius tactician says it's hard The challenge conquests are indeed much better choices for resource farming. And you know what's better? They require minimal tech and generals (but the wonders will be nice to have for bribery). I recommend Denmark/Norway 1939 and Portugal 1950 for that. 1950 SK was surprisingly easier than ROC for me.

Just One Bite , here it is. Purple means Very Easy Green means Easy Yellow means Medium Orange means HardRed means Very Hard * means ideal for Achievements of x turns required for y-star conquest, assuming the player has the ideal setup of generals and appropriate tech. This is not like EW6: 1914 so challenge conquests here only have the spam but your tech could catch up against the enemies'. This ranking assumes that you have Guderian, Katukov, a partially-upgraded EC panzer general, Govorov, Sikorski, a partially-upgraded EC artillery general, Sansonetti, a a partially-upgraded EC infantry/air force general. 1939 Challenge Conquest Ranking Three StarsUnited Kingdom*: UK has immediate access to Libya, Abyssinia, Benelux, and Bangkok. Soviet Union*: Unlike before, we have some units in Siberia in order to immediately conquer Manchukuo and Sapporo. For quick conquest, send some troops immediately to Abyssinia. France*: We could possibly have a quick conquest but her Asian front is not as strong as the British's. United States: We can immediately fight in Taiwan but Iberia is a bit far, though after sinking the U-boats you can already go to Europe. Germany: You have many generals fighting for you, so the conquest will be easy but not ideal for a speedy conquest. Italy: You are immediately adjacent to France, Yugoslavia and Egypt which are easy to conquer for income. Japan: Conquering the China and Southeast Asia will give you tons of income. You also have access to Alaska for early conquest of America. Two Stars Egypt*: Having a heavy tank makes it easy for you to send a highly mobile tank general to Asia ASAP. The rest will focus on Europe and Africa. India: Fairly near to both the Asian and European theater. Could conquer some neutral countries for additional income.the Netherlands: Thankfully, you will not immediately take the brunt of the Wehrmacht, so you will have some time to spam artillery to conquer Berlin which is just down south. Just avoid Guderian. Aside from that, you have Borneo which you can use to do something in Asia. Unfortunately, Borneo is too far away from Bangkok and Taipei is guarded by ships, so I doubt that you could do a 2-star conquest with the Netherlands very quick. Republic of China: Although Japan is powerful, ROC has enough income to repel the Japanese. Australia: Australia is... too far. That's just it.Poland: The only threat here is Guderian. After killing him, you might find your artillery generals battered. But Poland is not too hard since after killing Guderian, Berlin is free to conquer.Spain: Conquering the French Republic and its African colonies is easy and the Americas are not too far off.Romania: Stalingrad is immediately on your doors. You can use it for aerial support. One Star Norway*: Immediately kill Finland and send a highly mobile panzer general on your heavy tank towards Japan. Having two strong air force general helps as you need to go down south to Berlin, then to Munich (and hopefully to Spain), then to Rome, then to Tripoli and then to Ethiopia. Greece*: Yugoslavia will serve as your temporary shield while you produce units. The advantage of Greece is that you can send a highly mobile tank general on a medium tank and Sansonetti towards Asia while you make your way to Europe and Africa. Denmark: Germany will ignore you for a while, but the land fort prevents you from making your way immediately to Berlin. Yugoslavia*: You face the brunt of the Axis forces in the Balkans. However, should you have the appropriate technology, a quick conquest is possible similar to Greece. Mongolia: Mongolia has to conquer Changchun first before producing more field artillery and medium tanks. Belgium: You face the brunt of the Wehrmacht in Benelux. Bulgaria: Conquer Yugoslavia and Greece first. Hungary: Same as Bulgaria, except we are further away. Thailand: The nearest city with Lvl 2 factory is so far away. You know why I did not use Very Hard rating here? Because South Korea is the true Very Hard country IMO. Finland and Canada aren't on this list

Netherlands isn't as easy as it seems, because after the Germans conquered Belgium, some of them would turn to Amsterdam, which is really annoying to deal with. Not to mention the presence of artillery generals coming up to Berlin to defend it. Denmark: Germany will ignore you for a while, but the land fort prevents you from making your way immediately to Berlin. I would add asterisk to Denmark as well. Mongolia: Mongolia has to conquer Changchun first before producing more field artillery and medium tanks. I would rate it hard due to the fact that you have to split your generals between Europe and Asia, and expanding in Eastern Europe is difficult unless it's on the northern side. Thailand: The nearest city with Lvl 2 factory is so far away. I would rate it easy, placing the generals on armored cars and battalion artillery would do the job well, and expanding doesn't take much effort.

Luigi Sansonetti, I'm kind of contemplating whether to place Netherlands on hard, since I forgot about super tank Rommel that spawns at Cologne on turn 7. As for Poland, it could be placed on normal since pumping out super tank generals from Berlin is possible due to Poland's decent economy, but since you said that the artillery generals will be battered then I'm not so sure about it. As for the asterisks, I believe India, ROC, Belgium, and Poland are doable under turn 25, with India and ROC able to conquer the Middle East with relative ease and reach Abyssinia from there, and Belgium and Poland could knock out Germany quick enough to secure a large income to steamroll the rest of Axis.

Here's 1943 Challenge Conquest Ranking (that nobody asked for)Purple means Very Easy Green means Easy Yellow means Medium Orange means Hard Red means Very Hard Dark Red means Near Impossible * means ideal for Achievements of x turns required for y-star conquest, assuming the player has the ideal setup of generals and appropriate tech. Disclaimer: Do note that completing 1 star within 35 turns is one of the most challenging things in this era because South East Asia and the rest of Japan cities are not interconnected with airports, unless you have 9 hex range that allows Bangkok-Hong Kong airhopping. 3 stars Japan: The tanky Chinese generals offer a significant challenge to your army, and US navy is no pushover either. However, should you utilize Changchun for super tanks, Khabarovsk nearby for nukes, and clever maneuvering of your navy to knock out Australia and US navy quickly, you'll escape the grind that is the early game, and the rest of the conquest is mostly a giant mop up.
Germany: Very similar to 1943, Germany has lots of income and a large set of generals to deal with the enemies. With the ability to make nukes in Berlin, Germany should, theoretically, overcome the obstacles easier, but in practice it's more of a tactical support while your generals do the bulk of the work. Do utilize Kesselring and Student as free air generals.
Italy: Looks like Italy is boxed in by Germany. Italy's greatest strength lies in its strategic position in Africa as well as its arsenal of generals, which will allow Italy to expand via Brazil and Middle East. Being boxed in by Germany also serves as a permanent shield in which only the Americans from the west and Soviets from the east that could reach Italy, but Rome has nukes that could deter any generals coming their way. The only downside is it's the only 3 star country that lacks a level 4 factory city.
UK*: Germany is much more active in Challenge mode, but your army and navy are strong enough to stage an invasion of European mainland. Unfortunately your generals are the first target of German nukes, but if you secure enough cities you can replenish the losses with a larger army. Your army in Africa outguns the enemies there, and the Asian front is similar to normal mode. Tip: to secure 25 turns, Montgomery must head to Abyssinia at 15th turn latest.
USA*: Huge navy in the Pacific allows you to charge straight to Japan homeland with your army, and you have many strong generals in the eastern side to enter Europe via Iberia, Patton is also there to help you capture Abyssinia. On top of that you have the highest income of any country with 2 nuke cities that pretty much guarantees a nukefest for your enemies.
USSR*: You're commanding a very large army that is ready to swarm the Germans, featuring many powerful generals such as Govorov, Katukov, Zhukov, and Changchun is also easy to take. The only challenge in this conquest is that Japan will swarm the Chinese coastline, as well as the Korean peninsula which will stall your units for a good amount of time, and you are required to take south east asia by yourself. Also remember to send some units to Abyssinia for 25 turns completion.
2 stars Spain: You have a resting phase of a few turns before the American might shows up at your doorstep, which includes aircraft carrier Eisenhower, commando Marshall, field artillery Arnold, super tank Devers and Bradley… just to name a few. On top of that your west coast is within New York's missile range, so there's not much option when it comes to defending your homeland. The biggest issue however is your expansion, crossing directly west is a no-no as the carriers there will sink any attempts of invasion.
Romania: Stalingrad is your no.1 priority, but with your army at its doorstep you could capture it before Katukov and Chuikov arrive to save Malinovsky and Yeryomenko. Once you defeat Chuikov and Katukov, the Soviet attack stops entirely as they divert their attention to the Germans. Dealing with Kuznetsov is simple by infantry-stalling in Crimea, while your next target will be Middle Eastern cities.
Australia: Good position to deal with Japan, only Ozawa and Mikawa will be standing in your way. Europe is very far away though.
Canada: 2 star version of USA.
France: Same issues as normal mode. The only plus is Leclerc getting panzer cluster and De Gaulle getting movement medal, and a level 2 city nearby to pump out generals to attack Japan via Indonesia. Your best chance of entering Europe is from Spain, and Patton will help in cracking Casablanca and Dakar. You can also attack Middle East if you want to. Overall your biggest worry will be income.
India*: You're right next to the Middle East and South East Asia, as well as a good army to put your generals on.
ROC*: Your army is strong enough to kick the Japanese out of mainland Asia, but island hopping is tough without naval support. Do send generals to Europe and Abyssinia early on as you're quite far from those places.
1 star Bulgaria: Easy access to Middle East for quick income, you need it to defend against the Soviets with Romania as meatshield. Moscow is very challenging to attack but sometimes Germany is able to capture it. Finland: Step 1: Take Leningrad. Step 2: Take Moscow. Step 3: Make super tanks. Step 4: Win. No other country has a strategy this simple, remember to take your time. Hungary: Same as Bulgaria. Thailand: What a rough start. The enemies might not be the most powerful, but since you start with only field artillery Phibun, a tank, motorized infantry, and level 1 factory, you'll be fighting against unfair odds, and Japan is only good at distracting them so that all 6 generals would not attack you at the same time. Your goal should be New Delhi and the Middle East. Brazil: Good economy for a 1 star, and Colombia next to it for extra income. Dakar and Casablanca are good airbases to land on Spain, and you'll steamroll the Axis from there, don't forget the Italians at Abyssinia. For Japan, send 1 unit to Tokyo and capture it. Cuba: Less income and few starting units makes this conquest more challenging compared to Brazil. Unfortunately that also means getting 35 turns is much less likely for this country. Egypt*: While your position looks ideal for 35 turns, its hidden difficulty lies in the high amounts of enemy units that you have to face, especially in the Balkans. Thankfully you have a short grace period where you're allowed to take as many cities as you can before Germany pays attention to you. As for Japan, you're given a heavy tank to place your tank general on and to send him to Bangkok, but after that you need to fend off quite a number of units coming your way, and Hanoi will be difficult to hold due to many battleships nearby (there's Mikawa), which means getting 35 turns is very unlikely unless you somehow land in Manila or Hong Kong. The income situation is also tight which is why I can't place it at easy difficulty. A strategy by Erich von Manstein: "For Egypt's strategy in Asia, I saw a new idea yesterday: avoid the Japanese forces in eastern China, go directly to Changchun-Sapporo-Tokyo (it's fine if you can't take Changchun and Sapporo. Tokyo is the real big deal), and take the Japanese homeland with missiles. And then you can leave the Asian front as is and focus on Europe. Once you beat Germany and Italy, work backwards to China and southeast Asia. Sorta like what you do with Mexico, except you have a lot more income thanks to the cities occupied in Europe. I did this without EC in 32 turns. My 6 generals are Guderian, M Gen Govorov, Patton (I banned my ECs and Katukov), M Gen Sikorski, Goring, and Sansonetti. All with 2 lvl 3 unit medals except Govorov with lvl 4 artillery + lvl 3 movement. Govorov Sikorski and Patton work towards Berlin through the Balkans. Guderian to Asia, taking Baghdad and Tehran on his way. Goring and Sansonetti are deployed in Berlin and Bangkok. Beginners can replace Patton and Sansonetti with EC and promoted Bittrich. My tech is maxed." Mexico: You have decent army to conquer Colombia while you place generals on the tank and field artillery to Iberia. You're also very close to Tokyo where you might need to wait before you have enough income to hold it. Mongolia*: Changchun is nearby for super tanks, but the complexity of capturing it with using Voronov as aid, the presence of multiple strong Japanese generals nearby, and the units you can build in Ulaan Batar makes this conquest not very beginner friendly. It's also easy to get caught up with the excitement of making super tanks that one might forget to send units to Europe (the Eastern side is quite brutal), but Tehran is always an option. *Disclaimer for Mongolia: While it is possible to finish this conquest within 35 turns, a EC tank general on super tank is mandatory to clear out the enemies in the Balkans. (optional) (Hypothetical conquests)
Colombia (axis): Weak neighbors around you, but USA will definitely do something about you, and nukes might be involved!
Colombia (allies): Same as Mexico.
Iran (axis): You have the option to attack New Delhi right away, but the Soviets above will harass you with their army.
Iran* (allies): Similar positioning with India, but the conquest is more similar to Egypt.
Iraq (axis): Safe from all sides except Egypt, could conquer the neutral cities for easy money. Only issues are lack of level 2 factory and potential Soviet threat.
Iraq* (allies): Same as Iran.
Portugal (axis): The US navy is right in front of you. If Spain had it rough in 1943, you're literally positioned in front of Spain, with less income! Good luck surviving!
Portugal (allies): Great position, and you have backup from your allies. Too far from Japan though.
Saudi Arabia (axis): Very safe location, and 2 decent generals.
Saudi Arabia* (allies): Same as Egypt.
Sweden (axis): You can follow the Finnish conquest but at the cost of being under-equipped.
Sweden (allies): All of a sudden your battleship is vital to your survival as you're literally surrounded by Axis. You can conquer Finland pretty quickly and support the Soviets from the north, and UK will help crack Oslo for you.
Switzerland (axis): You're literally boxed in by Germany. Aside from being 100% safe, the lack of level 2 factory city requires you to take it from Istanbul instead.
Switzerland (allies): Messe and a field artillery is right next to you. Good luck.
Turkey (axis): Middle East is easy to conquer but Kuznetsov and the Soviet army may be troublesome to deal with.
Turkey* (allies): Better than Egypt in every way. You can start fighting immediately in the Balkans while sending a general to Bangkok, and the Middle Eastern cities are nearby as well.

Mongolia deserves an asterisk for its distance to Changchun. Too bad Guderian smiles in your face when he sees your super tank generals approaching while he's sitting in Moscow But to be specific, the Eastern front isn't as simple as it seems. Those who are familiar to 1943 conquests know how much units the Axis produces on that front, and Mongolia as an Asian 1 star country, reinforcement doesn't come as easy when the closest factory cities are its capital and Tehran. Coupled with airstrikes and occasional missiles from Germany, the only capable units to be sent there are generals, and while Changchun is easy to come by, the income restricts the output pace, along with the need to take on Japan at the same time. While Mongolia provides a tank and artillery closer to Europe at the start, the low tech limits their capability on dealing with those aforementioned units. These factors mean that Mongolia is unable to get the asterisk just because progress in Europe is nothing but a sluggish effort. The difference between Mongolia and its close neighbors, China and India, it's that these countries have the numbers for reinforcement, and slightly further is Egypt that while it faces similar problems when it comes to Europe, Egypt utilizes Athens for forward base instead of Bucharest which has less opportunities for it to be flanked.

How long does it take for your generals to reach the eastern front? With Mongolia I build my super tank generals and send them to Europe as soon as I take Changchun. By the time they reach Romania it's around t14, not too late. The biggest problem is to survive the axis nukes. Katukov should be able to deal with Japan. Income isn't that much of an issue. With Changchun you can build a super tank every 2 turns. At least Mongolia sounds much more plausible than the American countries you gave the asterisks to, especially Cuba. On a side note, 1939 Poland also deserves an asterisk, great location. I personally used ROC for that.

Mongolia deserves an asterisk for its distance to Changchun. I think that is not the primary reason but the real reason is that it has a medium tank ready for Guderian/Tank EC and a field artillery for Govorov/Artillery EC.

Egypt has much better location and starting units, but its inability to access to super tank alone makes it a less optimal choice. Also, it's better to have the infantry EC on commando than a general on the regular tank.

I tried it using your strategy for a second time, the Eastern front is barely holding. At least the Japanese front stabilized. This is turn 22 btw. I don't think 35 turns is doable at this rate. Here's a 34th turn Mongolia. I'm afraid you have underestimated the Balkan spam Erich von Manstein . It can only be cleared by a large army such as field artillery spam as shown above, since the enemy units are mostly artilleries. Imo the units are just as dangerous as the nukes & airstrikes. Yeah I'd remove the asterisk for Cuba. For Mexico and Brazil I did both under 35 turns, using 9 hex air range to finish off Japan with 1-2 turns at the end.

How is your EC built? What medal sets do you have on your generals? I beat 1943 Mongolia well below 35 turns. 2 tank ECs with expropriation, 1 infantry EC with camouflage coating, Govorov with arty + movement, Bittrich with air * 2, and Katukov with tank * 2. My forces entered Europe much earlier than yours, and the tank ECs can wipe out the enemies with ease. I deployed Govorov and the infantry EC to quickly take Changchun, and sent them and the 2 tank ECs to Kiev-Bucharest region. From there I split forces with the tank ECs and Bittrich deployed in Berlin wiping up Europe and Govorov and infantry EC to Africa. Katukov stayed in Asia and pushed all the way down the continent. I'm very interested in how you beat Mexico and Brazil with that lineup. Can you go more detailed on how you did it?

I wasn't expecting such a strong lineup for you Erich von Manstein That's my artillery EC btw with fire suppression lv1 (usual EC setup), Guderian with lv1 expropriation, Katukov with lv1 panzer tactical master, Patton with tank and assault medals, Govorov with artillery and marching medals, and Sikorski with artillery and combo medals. Compared to your setup it's pretty weak in comparison, no wonder you said you did it under 35 turns, that lineup is crazy strong lol For Mexico and Brazil, I simply took Colombia for extra income, then land in Portugal for conquering Europe with FA spam . 1 tank general is sent for Abyssinia obviously , and for Japan, 1 infantry is enough to wait for an opportunity to take Tokyo, and the US navy simply destroys the Japanese army on the island for me . 3 tank generals and 3 artillery generals used. Overall the process is as follows: Take Colombia -> Take Dakar & Casablanca -> Land in Portugal / Sevilla -> FA spam -> Take Abyssinia -> Land in Tokyo -> Take Osaka, Yokohama, Sapporo -> Finish off Germany, Italy, Finland and others in Europe -> Finish off Japan with airstrikes -> win I wanna try this with Cuba but I'm too lazy pardon me
