2021 Edition
Dear Community & Forum members,
Hello! I am John Marston (just a quick online safety tip refrain from using real names when you are online!) and I will be coming up with a the second edition of newsletter for our forum! This is the second edition, and I am proud to present it to you. Whether you want to check on the latest forum updates, find out quick tips and trivia, or simply want to pass the time, I am sure you will find this useful and entertaining.
I do hope that we can come closer and strengthen our bond as what started out as a small fan community into an international EasyTech games forum with members from the USA, Russia, Netherlands, the UK, France, Australia, Singapore, India, Romania and all over the world. With that, we shall embark on the contents, and thank you all for your valued support!
Yours sincerely,
Glory of Generals 3!
Aha!! A new game! Named Glory of Generals 3, it is a great game to try out. It gives many free generals and add them with the ones buy. Make an OP combination and dominate the war. It's a pretty good game to try out. You might argue that it has been made on yet another WW2 combination. But hey! Don't judge a book by it's cover! It's great and there are many positive reviews. And for you all's present surprise, it has been made free in both Android and iOS! It's been just few months since this game has released and it's been garnering many downloads
World War 2 has begun, and you will join the important historical battles from 1939 to 1945.
More than 100 famous generals including Barton, Zhukov, MacArthur, Guderian, Montgomery, Eisenhower and Manstein will be on the stage in turn.
Take advantage of the generals, find out the enemy's weaknesses and defeat them.
Recruit special force from the Axis and Allies and cooperate to gain victory.
More than 60 kinds of special force are waiting for you to recruit, including German Tiger tank, Mortar Karl, Soviet Katyusha rocket, KV Tank, US Army 82nd airborne regiment, and British Royal SAS regiment.
Here are some comments and views from current GOG3 players:
SolidLight - Pretty good mechanically overall. And I like some of the ideas like splitting the generals into axis and allies so that you have to balance your medals so that you have enough generals on both sides. I just find campaign too exhausting for me. But that's like the best mode overall. Conquest isn't the worst thing in the game but it's really pointless. Army Group is pretty bad overall though, and I find united front pretty dull too.
yuanzhong - 6.5 / 10 (at begin 5 / 10)
- Very poor / no general upgrade system.
- Average difficulty Campaign.
- Easy Army group + Front.
- Nothing to say about conquest, I don't know why ET make it instead of making better general upgrade / customize system.
- Actual number of days in total I play this game is about 20 and most of them for speed-run Army group.
It looks like Easytech has invested a lot of time for the campaigns. But!... Don't let that deter you from trying out the game and it's various modes. Criticism is fine and it actually gives the developers the idea where to improve further.
FYI: Unsurprisingly, GOG3 is the most popular forum here as of now. It follows the trend of popularity with new games, and when you post in GOG3 you can expect to get it viewed and answered pretty quickly. So it is also an advantage for beginners who can share tips together, unlike where you start to play a game like GOG2 and the hype has since been long gone.
Grigory Kulik - I would rate GoG3 a 8/10.
Pros:
-GoG3 has Easytech's best campaign mode to date.
-New generals system is the best I've seen in an Easytech game.
-New army group mode is fun and quick.
-Special forces make the battles more unique and random.
-Special forces also make infantry more divers and fun to use.
Cons:
-Conquest map is a bit to big.
-Conquest map needs colors like Easytech's most recent games to distinguish territories.
-Needs more army group maps and conquest maps. Especially in the pacific theater.

What's going on in the other boards?
Great Conqueror : Rome
Great Conqueror : Rome
The GCR board has gone stale and no sort of activity can be seen taking place. GCR fans!! Here we need your help. Go revive that board. Maybe you can start out by filling out the incomplete guides for campaigns or conquests. Start another discussion thread or maybe some tips for newbies. How about creating a tutorial just like NetherFreek did in WC3? So many ideas to start off.
European War : 1914
This board is rocking!! It has all the needs and a newbie can easily get the details he wants. Virtually everything is discussed. But that doesn't mean you don't have anything to do there. Help Navia Lanoira in filling out the Library. Many of the campaign guides are missing and are badly needed, especially for tougher levels. How about some participating in some unofficial speedrunning contest too!
European War : 1804
Good going. Lot's of activity here too! EW6 : 1914 might have unofficial records, but hey! This one has some official records. Rules? Simple! Break any of the record (there are many I tell you) and you will be admitted to the prestigious "World's Fastest Conqueror" group! Mind you they aren't going to be easy and wishing everyone who wants to participate in this, good luck!
European War : 5
This one is something - "Slow and Steady". Though you might not see much activity as compared to EW6, it still is receiving updates regularly by EasyTech. But one thing is sure that this one isn't going to be dead anytime soon. You still will get lot's of advice from anyone who plays this game, like Mr. Wizard Iron Duke , who completed the game many times and has lot of experience!
European War : 4
Ah! my most favorite ET game! This board deceives you completely. You might think that this one might be dead, with very less activity, but no. There are lots of things going on. ππ³π°π΅π΄π¬πΊ has just discovered EW4 multiplayer! (Sorry Android users, only available for iOS). And there are many other mind-blowing research by him, including decoding the years ruled too! This is the most researched game in all of EFC. littlecorporal has been churning out guides and I have just made a conquest difficulty ranking thread! Go check it out now!
World Conqueror : 4
Pretty much active! And for your kind information, there is a speedrunning records for WC4 too! Same rules apply, and I forgot to mention that you have to take screenshots of every round and victory screen as a proof. Having an adrenaline rush? Pumped up to shatter records? Go for em' and beat em' here!
World Conqueror : 3
This one has still a lot left in the tank. More members like STILETT0 and Luigi Sansonetti are joining the ranks and filling up guides. There are lot of things to do yet and you could contribute towards that. You could even revive the kill count challenge. More on that here!
GOG 1, Pacific, GOG2 are...
As good as dead No activity is happening there. But don't let that deter you from working on some big GOG 1 or 2 projects! It might rekindle the boards and Warlord247 has been busy filling up GOG 1 library. Maybe you could lend a hand?

Game modification
Modders! Good news! We have finally found the unlock APK for EW6 and GCR! For those who don't know what is unlock APK, it is a decrypted version of the game, where you can make many changes like unit changes, name changes, skin changes, adding generals, tweaking generals slots, adding more resources (Generous amount of medals are allowed but unlimited ammounts cannot be referenced in the mod post or be in a video showing it.)
Go ahead and make games! As much as I know, there is NO GCR MOD. Be the first one to make such mod and there aren't many EW6 mods too! Forum members are looking for some fresh games! Show all of the creativity here!
On another note, we have a new leader for the game modification boards - Darth Vader !! Congrats and folks! Some applauses to a person who contributed a lot and the modder of many exciting mods. Congrats again Darth Vader !!

Other games of interest
This board was seeing very less activity when Don Quixote de la Mancha created a Call of War 1942 game and sort of revived the board. A lot of discussion is going on due to that games. Don't feel bad if you could not join the ongoing game. We will have many more games coming up and feel free to participate. We will welcome you all with a warm hug
Officer's Lounge.
Do you know that a chess tournament is being held by Navia Lanoira ? Unfortunately, registrations are closed. Better luck next time Want something more? Discuss anything in the "Ask me" thread. Want to show off your historical knowledge? Then check in the "Historical Guessing Game".
"Wilhelm Ritter Von Leeb could not believe what he had just heard. This could jeopardize the entire offensive towards Leningrad.
"Generalfeldmarschall Leeb," repeated his chief of staff, Kurt Brennecke, "Colonel General Ernst Busch is reporting a large enemy counterattack at Staraya Russa. He does not believe 16th army can hold their position without reinforcements. Should we divert forces from the 4th Panzer Army to assist him?"...
What's that? It's a drabble made by HangryBird here. For your information, it was made by his own! Yes! A huge applause for this author, who will be coming up with more. Consider writing a book HangryBird ?
And also, Me and Warlord247 are penning stuff on more subjects!

A new group named Historical Society has been launched. "Historically accurate event's creation" is our slogan. FYI it is led by Gerd von Rundstedt . Wanna join? Tag us (Me, Rundstedt, @vonmanstein77 ) here.
Role Play Revived!
In case if you all haven't noticed it, the Role Play board has been revived again! There is a WW1 RP going on! Sign-ups? Anytime as you wish.
To be honest, the RP is short of players and we need more members. Are anyone of you are willing to lend a hand? The board would be dead again if we don't do anything now and we don't want any of the boards to die do we? Rules - Freestyle! Pick a nation, research projects, involve in diplomacy, some secret moves, attack and conquer the world now! The board is waiting for you all and there are other types of games other than RPs too!

YOUR SMALL HELP CAN BE A BIG CONTRIBUTION IN SAVING THE ROLE PLAY BOARD
Member of the Month.
So... We finally arrive to the much awaited Member of the Month corner! This time, I have zeroed onto 3 candidates, who have contributed a lot to their respective boards which I will mention. So let's get started netizens!
HangryBird
This guy has been awesome! Not only he has helped fellow members in GOG3, he has made the most detailed guide of GOG3 (My eyes see everything ) other than many guides. He has the skill of an author (See the drabble above) too!
Some of his work - Free general Challenge GOG3
Some Proposals for reworking GOG3

Some Proposals for reworking GOG3
Most of us start off in this forum by asking a question or help in certain battle or what to do next. But he has been different. He is just into the forum when he has got the all generals rankings in EW6 : 1804, whereas I have been still doing petty guides
Anyways, he has helped me on a few occassion too and it takes a lot of effort to do those things, which he has done effortlessly. Applause!!
CaptainStryker
Creator of an excellent mod. Named as World Conqueror 4 : The Nuclear War Mod, this game has been downloaded many times. What better way to thank you Captain! Hope you create more such mods. I personally had played it and found it neat and very enjoyable. It was so good that piligrim didn't had any words for many pages , but seriously, this has been an excellent mod.
Moderator Corner
Do you know who is a moderator is? The ones whose names are in red color are the moderators. However, there is one exception - Saltin . Since he has created the forum, he has all the powers to control the forum (Really cool). He is the administrator of this forum. Then there are the Global Moderators, who have the power to delete, moderate, move threads and many other. Make sure to respect the community guidelines and you will be doing fine.
So I have asked some intriguing questions to the Moderators and Saltin .
I really wanted to know when was this forum created. "The EFC forum was created in 2015" says Saltin "to establish some sort of a dedicated channel where players can post and ask questions and exchange ideas." When asked why was this forum created, he replies "At the time EasyTech just started to get known via their blockbuster game [European war 4] and they were lots of players looking for a place to call home and so the EFC forum was launched." And we feel fortunate Saltin, to have this forum.
When I caught up with best75 , to explain some duties as a moderator, he says "Stuff like checking the boards I am associated with that everything is alright, responding to thread lock or pinning requests, to take action if there is something like spam or a threads becomes too heated." Mind you all that it will be very difficult at times to break the fight between players and our legendary moderators have done a great job!
Now, Erich von Manstein , who has calculated the damage formula for many ET games. I salute your patience and hardwork and the amount of testing gone into it. Is Moderating a tough job? "Not that tough" replies Erich von Manstein, "EFC has a pretty relaxing environment so it's rare to have serious issues, but there were spam attacks that are very annoying. Comparing to Baidu in the last 2-3 years, EFC is almost like heaven." , giving us a comparison with Baidu's ET forum.
So how do Moderators , in case of fights or heated arguments, break the fight? "For heated arguments haven't been transformed into a fight yet I'll tag both sides and ask them to chill. When there's a fight going on, the first thing to do is definitely removing the posts." he says, adding "The way to break a fight depends on the forum. In Baidu I suspend the participants for a day. Here we tend to be more careful. For the first time usually nothing else happens, but if it happened repeatedly then the member will be warned through PM and sometimes raise the warning level. Account suspension is far less frequent but more serious here so that almost never (if it did, I can't recall any) happened as a way to deal with members in fights."
We can all show our appreciation to the forum staff that keep this place together and running through many simple actions, including showing more understanding and having some respect for their contributions. Every one of us play a vital role in the continuation of this forum which once started out as a small fan base. I hope that you would have gained an insight into the moderator system after reading this, and will not only get to know them better, but also work with them to make everyone's experience more meaningful.
We have come to the end of our second newsletter for the forum!
