Bernadette wasn't a fan of Napoleon, he was jealous of him getting away with all glory during Revolutionary era. It was a strategy, not tactic. He might not be Napoleon's fan, but he was a very good general. Nah, he failed to provide support to Davout at Austeredt and was nearly court martialed.

One of my favourite quotes in history is "You are asking about my loyalty towardz France, your majesty when I was fighting France, your family and you were sipping tea in British Gardens" Well yes, Napoleon did make some stupid demands at time, because of which talented generals like him, Lannes and Moreau broke off

I never neglected Napoleons military genius. Alexander was 333 bc in an ancient world and he took much much land from Persia so he was great. He is hard to neglect. But, why doesn't his name come up in one of the greatest instantly, like immediately. That's my point. And many people over here beileve Napoleon isn't the greatest, especially STILETT0 I don't believe either napoleon was the greatest cuz, as I said already, he ended up as a looser at the end. He wasn't able to make France the most powerful in Europe as he dreamed of

Even he didn't made Macedonia great. And all the humans loss went into the drain

So he is not greatest because he lost? Yepp that's what I am saying exactly I do not think he was greatest either but he lost is the dumbest reason for it. By this logic Kliment Voroshilov was s genius because he was on winning side and Mikhael Tuchachesky a loser because he lost against Poland.

Hmmm... At least Alexander was great with Macedonia during his life time. So I think that's why Alexander is called a great. But yepp Alexander died at too young age if I remember correctly

The coalition made sure Napoleon isn't great. In fact, they realized that the changes initiated by Napoleon that they can further strenghten the Monarchy

@verena16, alexander was 33 I think when he died. Napoleon was 51, so not much difference.
