John Marston, to borrow a phrase from Dan Carlin, they were both "Arsonists of History" Creating much problems but letting the "forest" grow. The differemce between Alexander and Napoleon was that Napoleon (imo) meant to spread such things as the metric system, centralization, napoleonic codes whereas Alexander just wanted to conquer stuff and then died suddenly.

Cuz that two being my personal greatest heroes. Henry Morgan cuz he almostly united all privateers of the carribean under his command in his conquest against the Spanish. Yi sun shin cuz he was a brillant naval commander inventing the turtleship or using the turtle ships efficiently and beating the Japanese navals in numerous sea battles So does those count more than conquering Austria, Prussia, Spain, Italy, Naples?

Napoleon is not great because history is written by the victorious. The coalition made sure Napoleon isn't great. There's your answer as to why he'll never be known as Napoleon the Great, it's really that simple. If Germany had won WWII the Austrian painter would be the greatest man who ever lived rather than the most evil. The video in this thread link might make you feel better, although I maintain the top two are the wrong way around! Yes. I know that is the answer. But let's debunk that here. I am not feeling bad for that. It's just that I want to take a head on debate and prove "Napoleon the Great"

That is one of the reason Napoleon is great. He spread things which were really effective, like the metric system you said. And as I already said, the conservatives were so impressed with his changes that they decided to keep it to strenghten Monarchy

John Marston, Kind of off topic, but Napoleon was one of the greatest military minds ever. It's a shame how easytech made him a general that can easily be replaced, in almost all of its games

I've done some research and somethimes the difference is just horrible. For example Mcclellan. He is/was a god in EW6 1914, but he was one of the worst union commanders in real life. Johnston, he was an ok general, but not that great. He is also God tier. And Grant, he is one of the worst in-game, but he defeated Robert Lee, which is impressive.

I get you. Even in my own game (European War 4 : Napoleon) I am not the best general.

John Marston ,Same things with conquest. The map just makes my eyes bleed. Look at Juljas trying to fix the map, even he fails:
