This is what I loved most about WC 3, there are lots of possibilities and pathways in the game. Honestly, if some used Clark as an infantry general, I would not be surprised as I was kind of impressed by him (even tho urban is not the best). He's definitely a dark horse when it comes to infantry comms. Given that I dislike Infantry comms (Bad survivability) I would never use him though

Thanks for advice to buy an artillery general. I bought Konev and Liang X C (4 stars for infantry, 3 stars for movement). Now I have Zhukov (artillery), Eisenhower (navy, tanks), Mannstein (tanks), Guderian (tanks), Ozawa (navy), Konev (artillery) Liang X C (infantry). Do I need more generals? Do I need to promote these generals? What level can be chosen for promotion?

After that you should consider a better Naval comm given that Ozawa, though good at the beginning, isn't necessarily the one I'd use endgame

Promote Guderian to marshal and Govorov to m general.

When I started the game with Lvl 1 I bought German Commander which is very bad and get defeated very easily by other generals. After I played some campaigns, I got French Commander and I upgraded them both. Then I got Tito, Wingate, and Messe. Well, I also get Konev, Kuribayashi, and English Commander. I improved English Commander, French and German to the same level as Konev and Kuribayashi and win alot with them. I built up my dream general team by buying Guderian to improve my tank powers and Donitz for my navy power.
Later, I even got to the NATO and WTO missions, pushed my troops to occupy Chongking, Wuhan, Hanoi, Manila and Midway using Japan in 1939 conquest, push the Germans greatly by using USSR in 1943. (I still can't beat North American Campaign...) After I got a big amount of medals, I got Lin B. and, MacArthur. But MacArthur was unsurvivable and he always being defeated everytime...
So, I bought Montgomery, the most survivable general in the entire game. I used him in the NATO Mission Mediterranean War and captured Jerusalem. I recently bought Rommel.
Ok maybe I have some English errors

Wingate is pretty bad and is generally only used for the red missions. The french generals are also trash and are too expensive with no good stars in any skill. Messe and Tito don't shine in any aspect. Konev is a good arty/inf hybrid. Guderian is a must in any end/mid game team and Donitz is a amazing naval general. I'd recommend getting Guderian, Patton/Rommel, Govorov, Konev, Bai X.C and Goring/Yamamato for your final team. My current team is Govorov, Guderian, Bai X.C and Goring (Saving for Konev) and I've managed to beat all the conquests except the Alien ones and have nearly finishes all the Cold War Campaigns

Hello there. After many times restarting game from scratch studying different types of strategy and trying to beat my old composition of generals (badoglio, goring, guderian, bai, vasilevsky, patton, donitz) ive decided to get manstein as my starting general. Its been smooth sailing so far. I have Manstein, Goring and Guderian. Now Im in a bit of a pickle. I know Manstein is OP on artillery and since i have Guderian I use it quite frequently. Now Ill have another 3k medals and I was wondering do I buy Konev, Patton or Yamashita. Govorov is also an option and upgrading his rank. Let me know what you think. Thank you .

It's not that urgent for you to promote Govorov at this stage of the game. If you want to go for 3 ECs, then you'll have to make a choice between those two.
