Mission Overview and Objective - You have lost all you have gained in the Italy War (FYI it is historically accurate). And you have to go through Italy again, but this time, you have to get Munich, defeat, Deroy, Radetzky and another Cavalry general. Generals Used - Isabella, Lan, Sophia, Victoria Getting Princesses early in the game is really useful. However, not all, especially the elite princesses are possible without some campaign progress. Look at ππ³π°π΅π΄π¬πΊ's works on the best way to gain princesses. These missions are also doable with Sophia, Maria, Fathima and Kate. But these are the princesses I have. Getting to the mission, firstly, the North. Gather all your units and rush towards Deroy. Put either Lan or Sophia in charge of this group. In your way, you cannot squeeze in between the fort and the artillery guarding Munich. Hence you have to take some damage. Sophia is preferable here as she as Spy, which can crack forts easily and provide a clear path. Spam light cavalry from Weilburg as you need a lot of strength to capture Deroy. In the south, pull back Marmont immediately and rush your units towards his aid. In the south, put Victoria on the line infantry, Isabella on the artillery. Recruit a heavy cavalry for Lan and get going. Finish the weakened enemy units and capture Torino first. Don't use Napoleon here as he is not on Artillery and you have to defend him. The enemy might sneak attack on you once your main army left Torino. I made Napoleon sit there and defend it. Now, move towards Milan, where you have to defeat the generals guarding the path to further North. Artillery here is extremly useful and use it effectively. The generals aren't that strong and can be easily defeated. But your troops will be worn out by now. For taking Munich, bring your army on the North, which defeated Deroy and move some of them from the South in the Alps. This pincer movement will destroy Munich and finally focus your army on Radetzky and defeat him.

For the guides: Imerial Eagle and Colalition are 'no'-general campaigns. The mission before offeres the War Horse, but you canΒ΄t buy it with only a little more than 600π. The first snair you can buy 4 campaigns later. ... the first two campaigns are training campaigns and can be won without your generals. this was my only information I got, when I started EW4. To play early conquests, to get the princess is something new, and for advanced players. Duomirez is the maximum a player can have with 25β.

Trotsky, did you try this way? No generals for the first two campaigns? You already got me to retry once again with only Arnold...

Trotsky, did you try this way? No generals for the first two campaigns? You already got me to retry once again with only Arnold... I started like this, this was the only info I found from EasyTech (in FB ?), so I played the first 20 to 30 missions without general. After I lost my first two stars in IE and Coalition (β143 ?), I tried out the first conquest: It was for me the same like I trained in the campaign - rushing with french generals vs. Moscow. After this, I started to attack GB and Spain - to slow (65?). But speeding up my oldest save (R17) gave me the first 5 princess - without any general, and so I only bought trainer, always. Using the unloved and underappeciated Sakurako was for me the key to understand the campaign. P.S. Didn't I got you even once to try the princess game, after I told you my experience ...

John MarstonI did this WITHOUT princesses, and I had to use a different method. I used Galvez (Caradja with more output an less health), and played defensive on both fronts. I went all in on the fort, then when it was destroyed I fell back to the Rhine, and defended from the comfort of defense. As for Italy, I did what you did without princesses as well. Defeated Melas, and then once again waited for Radetzky to come to me, as he is programmed to do after Melas falls. I used Napoelon, and hie him out of there before Radetzky arrives. Then I cap Munich from the south, and launch an attack on Deroy, finishing the mission in flying colors. Quicker you defeat Melas, quicker you get this game done.

This mission takes 12 or 13 Rounds, without generals (or princess) if you follow only one rule: stay 2 hex away from all ranging forts, except Torino. I would grealtly appreciate, if you post your mission guides in the corresponding thread John Marston. Making new threads for every mission in not very gentle. You can deeplink your guides for an overview for each campaign. We will loose a lot of information in doubled threads. See how bad it is, if just for a few are doubled in the library (where to find, where to post, what is the last actual info etc...)

Very nice to have the guides on one click in your library. For a discussion, we nedd a thread. I plan to embed the links in the old EW4 library in the name of campaign, so that viewers can view the detailed guide or the tips. And Trotsky, want your feedback on the Mobile view on the "Other important and useful thread" spoiler. Should I reduce it's size or it's fine?
