Mini-Analyse for players intrested:
:Civ 5 is a turnbased strategy game where you play a civilised country that struggles through diffrent eras of our world history, to finally achieve the ultimate victory, there are of course several intresting and various victory types in the game that lets you play to the end and beyond: store.steampowered.com/app/65980/,
Victory types:
The most preferable victory type for beginners that struggle to create a good and stable system is the domination victory, in this victory type, your goal is to capture every capital or every city (depends on how you have configured the settings) in the world. For this around 88 % of the civs you pick from (If you have the complete edition of the game) have abilities that you can use to earn a domination victory faster, the most preferable civ for this is Mongolia (gets special units who are very powerful in the early game). civilization.wikia.com/wiki/Mongolian_(Civ5)
The next victory type you'll see in your gameplay is the diplomatic victory type. When you're going for a diplomacy victory you'll have to get every vote in the congress of countries, which is the united nations, you'll get entrusted with one delegade to support yourself with in the renessance and later on the victory will all come up to how many city-states want to support you Note: You will have to gain support by making friends/allies with all City-states) you can of course do this victory type quicker if you are playing as a civilization whom have abilitys and bonuses which supports this type of victory, it'll all be depended on how you play. The most preferable civ for this victory type is Greece, who at 75 % of your games will protect and steal your allies. civilization.wikia.com/wiki/Greek_(Civ5)
The third victory type allowed is the cultural victory type. This type is harder, mostly because you want to play aggresive to become a world power, but if you do not have these particular ideals you're perfectly fine by going for this victory type, even here the best civilization you should go for is Brazil who can earn alot of culture in the early game (A stage who can be somewhat important) but the best thing with Brazil is the carnival (replaces the golden era, doubles the tourism output overall). civilization.wikia.com/wiki/Brazilian_(Civ5)
The fourth victory type you can achieve is the space victory. This victory is easy! Its all about the tech, for this victory type you must research every technology that is in the game, you get different tech for each era, research this and prosess troughout your game by doing this and once you have researched almost every tech, you are finally ready to launch into space. First you will have to work the apollo program (for spaceship), then you will have to build all the parts that is required once that is done you can finally launch into space and go beyond earth! More details will come soon.
Ideologies:
There is also a very cool feature that Sid Meier added to this game and that is the ability to have an ideology to believe in, you can pick a ideology once you have entered the modern era or have 3 factories in the industrial era. Now I will talk about all of the ideologies you can pick from:
Freedom:
Freedom is the first choice to pick from this category. The freedom ideology focuses on liberty, equality and all that , I find it very much the same as Capitalism becauses it focuses on money and trade/market. There is also Civs that picks this Ideology example (US, Austria, Venice...) all civs that wants to achive diplomacy or space victory.
Order:
Order is the second choice to pick from this category, and is somewhat the oppsite of Freedom. The order ideology focuses on power to the state, and power to the workers, its very good for building your empire and creating wonders (rare buildings such as great wall of China and Taj Mahal, they give you rewards such as better defense and golden ages), very much the same as communism. As freedom there is people that will pick this example (Russia, Egypt..) all civs that want to build things.
Autocracy:
Autocracy is very different from Freedom, it focuses on military and no freedom for the people, only for you. Picking this category will help you gaining the domination victory type, its very easy to gain this victory when picking this because it favors your military. There is also Civs that picks this Ideology example (Arabia, Mongolia..) all civs that want to take over the world literally!
List of great people:
-Great General (Patton, DUH!)
-Great Merchant (Bill Gates)
-Great Merchant of Venice (Only for Venice!)
-Great Artist (Edward Munk)
-Great Writer (me or Homer)
-Great scientist (Einstein, DUH!)
The funniest thing with great people is that you can get them in the early eras, once I got Steve Jobs in the medival era
Just ask some questions if you need some more information, good luck playing this game!
