Ironically, I just tested this before reading your post. I put my generals and turned on auto mode and did not skip the enemy's turn. I did not get even a single medal, for my turn nor for the enemy's turn. Unfortunately, we can't do it on auto. For some reasons the game won't count this attempt as valid, insisting that we should rather die of boredom instead while doing it manually Well, my dreams - Of AI doing all the lifting and me playing another game (I'm on PC) just got shattered Coming to grinding, I feel that the levels which are easy and also long, like the * missions which allows us to put 6 generals are more optimal.

yuanzhong, btw, is it possible to get a medal when our generals counterattack, or does it happen only when they attack and we can skip AI's turn? I don't think so. And I just attack in my first turn then restart.

Ok,now I have enough medals (mostly by playing Allied campaigns and unlocking achievements) to hire Guderian. For the sake of the argument I haven't played Axis campaigns (Blitzkrieg was one and only exception), so, now I can see how many medals Guderian will bring me back. My next strategic goal is to unlock KV-6 and Katysha, and to hire Rokossovsky and Govorov.

And keep yourself away from Ushijima. He is trash. I see too many lances were broken in fights over Ushijima. Nah, it is not my war. I will buy Yamashita

I completed all Axis campaigns and Guderian earned 29 medals just by participating in it. Not a breathtaking performance, but 29 medals is not a bad result either. If we add grinding to playing, his results will be significantly better.

stoic, I think getting Leeb and maybe even Yamashita first is better instead of getting Rokossovsky.

I agree with Napoleon 1, I got stuck in 1941 Africa with having only MacArthur(Axis 1941 Africa is all perfect cleared😂) I got 850medals and clearing the 1941 Pacific.
Currently Axis team is: Guderian, Leeb, Yamashita, Rommel, Frees
Allies; MacArthur, Frees

stoic, I think getting Leeb and maybe even Yamashita first is better instead of getting Rokossovsky. I doubt it. Nothing is better than a good tank general on each side. Tanks are our spearhead and I will build up my team around them. Besides, I am planning to grind a bit in 1941, especially after unlocking KV6. Moreover, I will upgrade only tank technology for now and armoured SF. Katysha and Elephant will be two exceptions.

But I, actually, agree, it doesn't really matter. All disputes about tank generals had an academic rather than any practical value.

I personally also maxed Armor first and then I regretted it while trying to perfect 1942. Still, you can play the game in whatever way you want to.

I don't grind because of medals, I just like many 1941 missions And, yes, I am aware of what I am doing, since I already completed the game six months ago
