Survivability can be thrown aside for infantry generals because infantry is cheap to recruit and replenish. It is true that they are cheap to recruit and replenish, but survivability means that one saves money in any case, and to help in the times between city jumping IMO. Yamashita has the highest damage per shot. On the other hand, even someone like Kesselring deals almost same damage as Rundstedt.

Um, Rundstedt, If we look at average damage, has significantly higher damage than Yamashita. Yes, Rundstedt's Base damage is poor, but that can easily be fixed with proper special force placement. Kesselring is just a terrible infantry general. A better choice would be Model, and in any case, yes, that is true, but I don't need an extra twelve damage most of the time.

In addition, Rundstedt is essentially MacArthur without the movement. If you think his lack of movement is enough to make him worse than a general who is worse in very category except movement, then fine.

If you use SFs, that means some 6-8 extra coins. Apply that on Yamashita and he would be even more faster.

I suffer the same thing after I upgraded the Cossack's movement. I have a lot of movement I don't need.

Even though Rundstedt can attack multiple times, it means that he has to take damage and if you want to regain HP, you have to shoot off units with low damage which means wastage of damage.

If you want to regain HP, you can one-shot an Armored car with a Grenadier. Killing something does not necessarily mean damage wasted. By shot to shot, I assume you mean if Rundstedt's IL does not trigger? If so, that would be true, but you would also be avoiding one of the best skills in the game.

On an HT, you might get that 50 HP back, but you are horribly slow, can't deal any big damage, and Rommel will hate Rundstedt for taking his job.

It is still almost halfway of that damage, and like you dislike with Machinist, it gets better as your gens do. It still is a nice bonus, certainly better than the replaceable SAMURAI. Yes, on an HT, he is slow, but Tanks are fast to begin with, even HT. His damage, I will admit is lackluster, but that is seriously forgivable. And Rommel Hates Rundstedt anyway.

I can forgive Rundstedt a bit because stars will buff Plunder by a tad bit, but Samurai is more valuable to me because my MacArthur is very fond of being demoralized. Rommel is still slow compared to MT Guderian (but everything is slower than MT Guderian). HTs are the only exception to "armor is fast, deal with it". Even then, he may be good when you have 2 HTs and Yamashita could take his place. I may change my mind about Rundstedt being worse than Yamashita

I may change my mind about Rundstedt being worse than Yamashita I dislike Samurai not because the skill is bad (far from it, the bonus is great in needed scenarios), but because the Samurai and Patriot are both amazing SF, especially in those scenarios. Yeah, that is the thing about Guerilla that I actually prefer to FS: you don't lose 5 morale when Guerilla Triggers. Of course, this doesn't help Yama, but I digress. Even HT are faster than Artillery, but we use Leeb, with but one movement, on said Artillery. I think we can make Rundstedt work speedwise. Finally, ya just cannot beat that skill synergy. Also, Rundstedt was not as huge a war criminal as Yamashita.

Thanx guys!! 😁 I really appreciate all the help. My plan is to buy both MacArthur and axis Infantry general and maybe Donitz If I need him 😬. I'll need to grind for him though Try doing those army groups. Focus on German 1939 army groups. They all are really easy and short too. Also put some effort in perfect clearing campaigns. Don't neglect the united front missions as you can use them to gain prestige points, which give a lot of medals. Thanx man!! I actually just perfect cleared 1939. Now I'll try perfect clearing 1941. P. S. I think I never told you, but I even got Isabela in EW4, If you remember, you sent me that guide with France 1798. 😁😁😁😁

Also guys. I bought MacArthur and Yamashita. I would say a lack of great special forces really hurt MacArthur. He is still very solid, hits very hard against infantry, against other units solid amount of damage as well. Yamashita on the other hand is human atomic bomb. I literally just dealt around 180 damage with him on wiking. Axis SFs for infantry are much superior IMO. Although MaC on cossacks hit very hard as well. Also I'll make sure to buy Runstedt for 1944.

Also my IL on MaC didn't activate that often 🤦♂️ It's probably just bad luck
