I can forgive Rundstedt a bit because stars will buff Plunder by a tad bit, but Samurai is more valuable to me because my MacArthur is very fond of being demoralized. Rommel is still slow compared to MT Guderian (but everything is slower than MT Guderian). HTs are the only exception to "armor is fast, deal with it". Even then, he may be good when you have 2 HTs and Yamashita could take his place. I may change my mind about Rundstedt being worse than Yamashita  I dislike Samurai not because the skill is bad (far from it, the bonus is great in needed scenarios), but because the Samurai and Patriot are both amazing SF, especially in those scenarios. Yeah, that is the thing about Guerilla that I actually prefer to FS: you don't lose 5 morale when Guerilla Triggers. Of course, this doesn't help Yama, but I digress. Even HT are faster than Artillery, but we use Leeb, with but one movement, on said Artillery. I think we can make Rundstedt work speedwise. Finally, ya just cannot beat that skill synergy. Also, Rundstedt was not as huge a war criminal as Yamashita. The Samurai is overshadowed by the Wiking (well deserved, Wiking possesses a huge arty-killing niche) and Grenadier (saves HP), but is probably one of the better SFs in total, seeing how my MacArthur loves to get demoralized. 5 morale is miniscule and if I can get Guderian to the rescue, I could save Rundstedt from chaos. Probably the main reson MacArthur gets demoralized is I leave him alone as all of my other generals are dead or Roko needs to go on a mission (Normandy Landings). Wiking and Grenadier are reasonably fast, and as a last ditch effort, the super-fast Italian SF I can't think of. |

That is fair, I still think the Grenadier doesn't have enough defense and prefer the Patriot, but that is just me. Yeah, exactly why I think team play is important.
