1. MacArthur - He has FS, Raider, and Infantry Leader. Basically Kuribayashi's damage and Rundstedt's survivability.
2. Rundstedt - Better damage than Yamashita, worse survivability than Yamashita.
3. Yamashita - See Rundstedt but reversed.
3. Kuribayashi - Much better than Yamashita in damage. Cannot survive as long as Yamashita, however. Horribly slow. Much better damage than Yamashita (like 6 points more), much less survivability than Yamashita. Much cheaper as well.
3. Eisenhower - CT screams defense, the auras scream offense. The classic Badoglio Dilemma. Would be further down if not for the aura and 5*s.
6. Tassigny - Use Dowding to demoralize the enemy and have Tassigny be a wall. Literally 2 defensive skills and if you work with the airforce well, a stable output.
7. Student - Part-air-part-infantry general, if you paradrop him and he can set up a good supply of morale, his output can beat Yamashita's.
8. Bradley - He beats Yamashita in damage while not on a Jungle, but Jungle doesn't make use of Reserve very well. Jungle also isn't the best terrain to camp on. Will share 7th place with Slim because of his Badoglio Dilemma. One could call him offensive Tassigny.
8. Slim - Not very impressive, as Allied Yamashita, but he's basically your only shot at a offensive secondary Allied infantry general who doesn't suffer from the Badoglio Dilemma, as Guerilla can protect him well enough.
10. Mannerheim - Quite a change from WC4 to GOG3. Now his only job is to kill Cossacks and infantry, which Rommel already does. At least the infantry part very well, and to kill the SF along with it.
11. Model - Defensive Student, defensive prowess matches 5 Ushijimas. Sadly a sufferer of the Badoglio Dilemma.
12. Vasilevsky - Allied Ushijima, cannot have a stable output to get the XP rolling in (Ushi has Scout), only has defending (Ushi does it better with XP). IMO on of the best generals for Conquest and AG, however. If Ushi gets his XP going, however, he can become a better Vasilevsky anywhere else.
12. Ushijima - Yes, he is better/similar to than Vasilevsky. Before you leave, let me explain. He can provide a good sacrificial scout or if you can shield him well, an actual threat if you let the XP roar. AF is just bad on infantry. SF is worse than desperate, tying into that XP Scout strategy. Not good, but still better than others.
14. Terauchi - Remember de Gaulle from other threads? Worse than him.
15. Clark - Being brown of Paulus' list is very much deserved. Brown also isn't very good there.
16. Alexander - Though I consider him to be an arty, someone will ask about secondary inf generals so I will use him as my example. Not primary, not included. He sucks. Just 3*s when not on a desert.
2 (or more) generals in the same spot means a tie.
If you have any disagreements, consider making your own ranking. I would love to see them.
