Also most famous gens are Iap, so we should also get info on the lesser-known generals and maybe we could upgrade them, maybe they won't be as strong but at least we have some road rollers to help us throughout the centuries- wait a second can we use gens from Byzantium era to the HRE era?

My thoughts after two days of playingI’ve now been playing for two days and I have completed the first two chapters
Nothing two difficult for now and I’m quite happy of the Generals we get for free as a reward for some of the missions. I don’t think I’ll be buying any for now, as Belisarus and Aetius are quite good. Speaking of Generals there’s a kind of campaign where you need a certain General to play in, with the exception of the first one. The tricky thing is that some of them require IAPs to participating in. Speaking of paying, I’ve stumbled upon the fact that to play a certain nation of the conquest mode, you need to pay? If we take that out, I think THIS is the BEST conquest mode ET has ever made. I’m also quite liking the way they made unit upgrade work, and the “shop” they made to buy what’s needed to upgrade or unlock. Those are all my thoughts for now. I’m really waiting for the moment it goes out on Android so I can start arguing with Gerd von Rundstedt on which General is the better. Cya guys another time.

From War Emperor, Here is my idea of the IAP general ranking, assuming all units are equal. ( Nhyjj can I have the actives of Attila and Arthur, I can't figure them out. I will consider them average.) 1. Olga: As much as I hate her character, I have to admit that she us amazing. She is the single best Consul general, slightly ahead of Justinian due to the fact that you get her weapon for free (i.e. not battle pass) and she has higher ability for administration and Negotiation versus his Bribery or whatever. In campaign she holds her own as well, being the Barbarossa of Counter Infantry, with extra damage reduction, the incredible Formation Master or whatever, and Leadership for extra tank. The perfect match for her unit, TBH. The third best privilege, for a cheap price. The best buy far and away. 2. Attila: Fragile, with 4 good skills. Clearly the best Archer with a possible exception of Genghis. Really no downsides, except his leadership is worse on an Archer as you don't want him to need to get more morale. I actually value speed a ton in this game as it allows you to attack multiple times, but Attila works best with his special unit in a homogenous mass so that he doesn't get countered. Great, but his skills are better on other gens. Second best privilege. 3. Richard: Bad Active and 4 solid passives for an offensive melee cavalry. Polearm Master is essentially an extra Cav Tactician, so he has crazy damage. Siege Master makes for good sieging (duh). Leadership allows him to have to regroup less often. Only down here because he is worse than the other two. Also, super expensive, despite having the best privilege. 4. Charlemagne: Clearly the Best Stat spread, but he has a double terrain and a pretty bad active. Belisarius's version seems much better. Really no other complaints. Great but outclassed. Also, expensive. Worst privilege. 5. Arthur: Just Mediocre. Double terrain, actually a pretty good inf-cav hybrid, butTBH is nothing real special. Trash administration for his Fortification Expert. Not bad, not much better than anyone else, including non-IAPs though. Third best privilege. 6. Saladin: By far the worst. Despite having a decent rank, he starts at Duke, and even worse, he has a freaking TRIPLE terrain. Horrible. That being said, his Active is simply fantastic, especially for a game with RNG like this. His Cav Tactician would be great if he wasn't massively designed for his mamluk ranged cavalry. All in all, pretty bad and definitely not worth the price. Worst privilege.

As for the Pay Conquests, they seem really minor and I don't think it will make much of a difference at all.

DAMN, Olga being so op and Saladin being the worst of the generals, hit me like a bowling ball, I mean yea Saladin was a leader not general, still he should've had atleast 45 adminisstration points, tho we need gens who fight- wait a minute, Gerd, Why do you need internal affairs?

generalfeldmarschall, Internal Affairs seriously boosts you economy and diplomacy, although apparently you can still fight with it. It is like you are a garrison in a city, and cannot leave without forfeiting Consul mode.

Ok I underestimate, Internal Affiars, But SALADIN SHOULD"VE GOTTEN GOOD INTERNAL AFFAIRS

Thinking it over, Saladin and Olga are IMO the best price performers. Saladin's Head Hunter combined with his stats and a terrain active at all times is good enough to account for the Lack of other skills, especially when paired with Barbarossa.
