Does anyone have any clue as to why easytech posted pics of Hermann Hoth and Luigi Sansonetti on their twitter page in the last days? Are they about to announce the release of WC5?  (lol, this is the only option that we can rule out...) It's WC3. THE GOOD OLD WORLD CONQUEROR 3 IS BACK!!! |

The cloud save feature was requested by many players, but I would have never bet on seeing some new generals. Anyway, I'm not going to replay the game just for this. Not as long as you have to keep the screen on to grind for medals and resources. If they scrapped that, I may be interested... |

I have thought of replaying on my newer device WC3 but I got quite a backlog of easytech content I want to play through. Maybe one day I will get back to playing it.

i checked out wc3 for the first time yesterday but i honestly didnt like the gamedesign for some reason. it looked old and static imo. i never played the wc series.
i played most of ew series and all of GoG series but i didnt like wc. the map seemed crammed. maybe its just the fact that i dont have nostalgia for it - but ew4: i replayed the whole game from 0 about 1 year ago and it holds up perfectly.
do wc players feel like this too? or not?

i checked out wc3 for the first time yesterday but i honestly didnt like the gamedesign for some reason. it looked old and static imo. i never played the wc series. i played most of ew series and all of GoG series but i didnt like wc. the map seemed crammed. maybe its just the fact that i dont have nostalgia for it - but ew4: i replayed the whole game from 0 about 1 year ago and it holds up perfectly. do wc players feel like this too? or not? wc3 and wc4 both have awful methods of grinding medals. wc3 consumes your device's battery life span (you gain medals based on the time you spend actively playing the game) and in wc4 you need to manually do 7 invasions twice a day for a total of ~150 medals(+30 from ads). Top generals cost ~3000 medals and skill updates 400+ in the later stages...
The good thing about them is the alien/terrorists in conquests and campaigns, they're hard but still doable (not as difficult and time consuming as Morocco in EW1914 hard conquest but it still feels like an accomplishment.)
wc3 allows you to build 3 generals from scratch but this costs tens of thousands of medals and is needed/recommended to beat end game content.
wc4 got frontier mode with the latest update which some claim to be boring (hundreds of extra missions that revolve around destroying fortresses) but it still offers some challenges for late game teams.
I'd recommend wc4 if it had to be between these two.

Which is why elite pass is highly recommended for WC3. Your phone battery costs much more than $10. |

I do wish that WC3 has more ways to earn/grind medals than just the 3 medal wonders. Maybe medal rewards from yellow missions would be nice. |
