Warlord247, you're from Texas right? I recently got a card to the library of my city's university, which offers a good variety of literature on many subjects including history and it's completely free. Stereotypically, you'll have to give your second kidney for education in America, but I'm interested do you have a similar possibility to acces university libraries there?

You did not actually say that! If I'd get a cent every time I've heard some kid on the street say "Jesse, we must cook meth", I'd maybe not be a millionare, but rich anyways. As to what I've been doing. Sleeping in class and swimming in snow, the usual Finnish stuff Now seriously, not much. I've been sick alot since Spring really. Neither much anything related to EFC. I've been playing EW5 a bit and recently I suggested reintroducing the use of dices to RP, which has begun quite well. Great! The last time such a thing happened, it flopped harder than a rudderless plane. Also, is it just me? Or are many people here sick now? Even a handful of my classmates are sick. It certainly seems to be a bit of a trend. I think it's all the flu viruses that surprise our immunity systems after the long Covid lockdown.

Most likely go into teaching. Start out as a high school history teacher until I get my masters, then go on as an assistant professor. I'd love to be one of the traveling historians that are highly venerated if I'm able to make some sort of big discovery though. I'm actually trying to get into an engineering course, though what you just listed is my backup plan lol. I mean history is really overlooked. Also, teaching and history are actually the two things I like. Also, one of my friend's sister is coming to Texas this December and she's worried about acclimatizing there. Who's a better person here than you to ask some 'things to know about Texas?' It depends, my speacialty is the gulf coast. If she's going anywhere else then I'll only be able to give generalizations.

When it comes to university libraries you usually have to go there to have access. Luckily with my college class I count as a college student, and have access to such a library.

I don't exactly know where she is going. well in that case, the people are most times nice, and very talkative. If people say hello and make eye contact or whatever that's normal. It never drops lower than 10 ferenheight even in the northern most areas, so if she's used to that weather tell her not to pack winter clothes.

I just realized that you need to put a photo of Uncle Sam in your pfp. It would give more meaning to your status.

Making eye contact with elders is seen as a sign of confidence in the west, whereas it is a sign of disrespect in the East. In the east it's true. Is it true in the west? Also, 10-degree Fahrenheit? what's the average temperature?

Also brb, in a stricter class right now, so I may be radio silent for the next 30 minutes.

Just some random thoughts, you know... 1. I think that Saltin is uh... a 'different' type of administrator. Many forums and Reddit sites talk freely about Russia - Ukraine conflict. Meanwhile here, I don't think we are supposed to. That doesn't mean that I don't support them. Saltin is a 'different' administrator because our forum is. It's a forum where people (technically) discuss how to wage wars (In game boards) and try their hand at them (In RPs) . Maybe it really is required. I firmly believe that Saltin took the right choice when he chose to keep politics out of here. In the past I've been a user of a forum (not gaming-related) which had a politics thread, and it was quite a mess. Even if moderators tried to enforce some civility, it was often rife with accusations, ad personam attacks, uninformed comments and whatnot. Users of a certain political side were always treading on the fine line that divides what can be said from what can't. Normal internet stuff, in other words. Even here, in the ew7 section, I've seen a user that sometimes used to add some propaganda nonsense to his posts, with a classy touch of genetic determinism. Or another user, who wished a Russian user to be enlisted in the army and to go to the frontline... Trust me, we're better off without a politics thread.

You'll just need to open Reddit, look at it for 5 seconds and you'll know the reason why. Teens on internet and politics don't mix well. Edit: With 'teens' I wasn't referring to anyone here, but to Reddit. I'm sure people here could (and there is evidence of this) have a sensible discussion about politics, but I think it's better that they're not discussed.

About the Ukraine-Russian conflict and the somewhat of a censorship here in the forum: We are an international forum and we have members from both sides of the divide, many of these players have been in the EFC forums for a long time, they have buddies here and many established friendships and it is their internet hang out. Some might be (or might have been) part or the staff or maybe just regular guests and so just because their respective countries and politicians engaged in a RL war it doesnt mean the rest of us need to take sides and blame or harass our fellow members who have nothing to do with this.
It's also an extremely emotional and sensitive issue for the many that are involved, both of these countries share a lot of common history and many even have families in both sides of the border, so if they come down here in the forum to have fun or forget about the RL crap that goes on let's make sure we leave them in peace.
Anyways I want to make sure all sides feel welcome here, regardless of politics or the massive amount of propaganda being dished out elsewhere.

Waaait… does this have anything to do with your brief profile change for Pride Month? DING DING DING! We have a winner! You get...okay, I actually didn't think that far. Got any ideas? Umm, so I think we have our first openly homos*xual member? That’s pretty cool. Anyways, WC3 is a much better game now.
