How are you Eugene V. Debs ? I don't think I saw you on at all yesterday I'm doing well, thanks. I've actually checked the forum a few times, though since the boards seemed to be silent, I didn't post anything. Then, I returned to a book about the Battle of France that I've been reading for a while, and it's been good so far, although there were a few little points that I didn't agree. Anyway, how about you? Hope you're doing well too. I've been alright. Just been chillin today, playing some games and listening to history videos (I'm trying to learn the basics of the first world War right now, since I'm I know so little about it.) I basically took the same approach as you when it came to the forum. I was waiting for something to happen in the rp, but neither you nor Nihilus responded to me so I just kinda sat on my hands lol

I basically took the same approach as you when it came to the forum. I was waiting for something to happen in the rp, but neither you nor Nihilus responded to me so I just kinda sat on my hands lol About the WW1, I too had been more interested in the WW2 and the interwar years until a while ago compared to WW1, afterwards I started focusing on it too, specificially about the British Empire, and also Australia, Canada and those who are usually less popular as fields of interest than the countries in the main fronts of the war. Then, I've recently switched the gear towards Battle of France again, I don't know why but it's been one of the fields which I'm most interested in for a long while (since the TW7: WW2 RP probably) and something like a comfort zone for me about history, I never get tired reading about it lol. Also, I don't know if it's just me, but I also change the theme of my researches based on which country I'm currently playing in the active RPs at the time, like now I'm also more detailedly focused on the interwar Soviet Union and also have a few books in my reading list to try after I finish the current book I'm reading, and another example, I read one of my favourite non-fiction books so far, Homage to Catalonia by George Orwell, thanks to the Spanish Civil War RP As for the current RP, technically it has a reason, though, y'know, it would be like revealing state secrets or giving spoilers about the future , so I'll have to use my legal right to silence about it for now lol. By the way, if you don't mind me asking, what types of games do you usually prefer to play other than ET? For me, on mobile they are usually text-based and story-driven (or simply interactive fiction lol) games and RPGs rather than online competitive games, though I used to occasionally play FIFA Mobile and also tried COD: Mobile for a while, though I didn't continue any of them for a long time, as those type of games are also a bit too time consuming for me personally, although I enjoyed both of them while playing. Other than these, I also enjoyed a few browser-based games.

Other than these, I also enjoyed a few browser-based games. My study on WW1 just recently started, so I don't really know anything unfortunately. I love history, but I have a short attention span like, 80% of the time, so what usually happens is I compile a huge list of stuff, say "I'm gonna read this tomorrow" said list keeps growing, and then I binge for like, 2 weeks. My inspiration for the Rp actually evolved in the opposite manner. While I don't know much about Austria-Hungary, I find the idea of a dual monarchy, and all it entails, fascinating. As such I started trying to rebuild the empire in Hoi4 (to very poor results). Then when I happened back upon the forum and saw Austria as a playable country, I saw it as my chance. That's fair about the rp lol, wouldn't wanna give away such valuable secrets. As for my games, here's how it kinda works: Mobile I go through a few games that look interesting, but usually don't play them more than 3 months max. The only ones that have stuck are Wc3 (tho it's very hard for me to play it now) Wc4, GoG3, and minesweeper. For console and PC my most played games are sandbox (minecraft, Terraria, and factorio) and shooters (doom, wolfenstein, and any Call of Duty before Ghost and after advanced warfare [besides black ops 4, that game is an utter disappointment]) I like really technical parts of the sandbox games, like minecraft Redstone, and factorio as a whole. However due to the short attention span mentioned earlier I'll play one of them for like, months then drop it for a year. Shooters are more consistent cause of their quick pace, but I'm prone to rage lol

However due to the short attention span mentioned earlier I'll play one of them for like, months then drop it for a year. Shooters are more consistent cause of their quick pace, but I'm prone to rage lol Oh, I see. Have you heard of that method where one reads a bit every day, albeit in short periods in order not to lose attention while being consistent, let's say 20 or 30 pages, or perhaps 10 at the beginning, depending on your choice, in order to build a consistent habit, if you'd like to change this? 30 pages every day is better than 300 pages one day and then a break for a month, after all. I thought it may be useful for you. And even if not, don't be hard on yourself though, you know, reading books, especially history books, naturally requires concentration, so it may be hard to focus for a long time if one's mind is filled with other stuff such as private life, so I think that's normal during such times, if that's the situation. Hopefully you find a working way for you. I too had taken something kind of a break from reading and some other stuff when the RP board was unfortunately in the stagnation period. Anyway, afterwards, I returned to reading, as both fiction and non-fiction. There had been lots of books in my reading list too, and yet, at first, I had a hard time finding something among them which I wouldn't want to stop reading because it would be really exciting, and therefore would make me return to read consistently again. I wanted "to have already read" all those books, not "to currently be reading them" lol. It was like I wanted to have completed the process, and yet I wasn't enjoying the progress at the time. Anyway, so I've recently solved it and returned to reading. Anyway, I saw that you were interested in writing in the old threads, and I've meant to ask for a long though I haven't got an opportunity, do you still actively write? Because I'm interested in writing too (basically all genres without a seperation, but I'd say I've been more inclined to fantasy, sci-fi, mystery and historical fiction and... Wait, I'll have counted all the genres already if I go on Joking aside, basically those ones are the ones that I'm most interested in) for a long time and recently I'm thinking about writing about history too in the future, although I'm not sure whether professionally or more casually (like a blog), and there's still time to decide anyway. Anyway, that's a very long story lol. So, what about you? I see, though why not Ghosts? I personally used to like it a lot at the time, though I haven't played any console games for a long time as I don't currently have a console. But Call of Duty: World at War and WW2, Ghosts and COD 4: Modern Warfare were the ones that I was playing back then. Also, I used to play some other FPSs like Killzone 3, as well as some other non-FPS games.

It's something I also need to work on. I get the feeling of having so much to read but not knowing where to start. I have a whole encyclopedia set that I've barely touched yet. It doesn't help that my focus has also been divided for the last 3 months because of my history research paper (not that I'm not enjoying it a lot, it just takes focus away from stuff I'd planned on reading lol.) Writing is something I like to do. And as I've been finding out the last year, I'm actually really good at the research style of non-fiction writing. Gives me hope for when I'm actually in college lol. As for what I like to read, it's mainly fantasy and dystopia, with a very small pinch of hard sci-fi thrown in there (If you can even really consider Little Brother Sci-fi anymore.) The thing I'm drawn to writing most is dystopia and apocalypse, though my favorite piece I've done is a fictional story about two American POWs in the pacific front which I wrote with zero dialogue. It's a bit rough around the edges due to it's age (and me not being as good at the time) but if there was demand on the forum I might try and remaster it. Ghosts is... fine, but it's kinda when I fell of the series. I didn't pick back up till infinite Warfare (which gets waaay to much flack.)

We had to throw ours away when we moved a couple years ago. I am not really into non-philosophical fiction. The point of reading is to learn. Why bore yourself with books if you aren't going to learn anything. The only time I can actually read a completely fiction book is if it is humorous, at which point I still get bored within five minutes if the chapters are more than 8 pages long. I enjoy nonfiction writing, but I tend to prefer persuasive essays. Unrelated note, do you enjoy Sangria Señorial and Horchata? I just visited my relatives for Thanksgiving in Texas, and they provided bountiful supplies of both. If yes on both, which do you prefer?

Yes they can teach you stuff, but they can also be a step into another world. Dystopias and hard science fiction provide both stuff to learn and a world to step into.
As for your food question, I actually haven't had either of those that I can remember. My main food is fajita, ground beef (not often) or barbocoa in taco, quesadilla, or nacho form. Chicken is another big one, and can be in the forms listed before or with some mashed potatoes and corn. If I'm in a rush I make instant foods like ramen, macaroni, or spaghetti. If I have some money to spare I get a birdie roll at a really good (non-fusion) sushi place by my house.

You did not actually say that! If I'd get a cent every time I've heard some kid on the street say "Jesse, we must cook meth", I'd maybe not be a millionare, but rich anyways. As to what I've been doing. Sleeping in class and swimming in snow, the usual Finnish stuff Now seriously, not much. I've been sick alot since Spring really. Neither much anything related to EFC. I've been playing EW5 a bit and recently I suggested reintroducing the use of dices to RP, which has begun quite well. Great! The last time such a thing happened, it flopped harder than a rudderless plane. Also, is it just me? Or are many people here sick now? Even a handful of my classmates are sick. Curse this post. I've been down with flu ever since! Also, anybody here watches The Infographics Show?
