Yes and no. I have or had an account, and I think I joined the ET server, but I've forgot my password. Time to make a new account I guess. There's this server we have including people like Warlord, Nappy, me etc. I don't think we're allowed to post links here, but if you're interested, you can message me, my account is written in my signature. Alright, I added you.

Finally got Subutai's weapon in the pre-Rise of the Ottoman game version.
Guess it's possible, even though I held back later on because of "Epic" Battle's scaled enemy troop levels. Now, just need to upgrade it to match Giovanni's lvl 8 equipment which I used on Subutai currently. Also, a way to reach the Honor of Conquest unique weapon without specifically grinding for it.

I see. Thanks for the heads-up. Sounds more like ET is scaling it according to how many War Drums we should have from Day 1.

EW7's Challenge Conquest reminded me once again why one should really pay attention to what's in front of us, or rather, our troops.
With all those modifiers, even simple, generic mobs can easily defeat a weakened gen. The pain of seeing portraits disappear goes away once I remember that weak gens are supposed to be used like machine gun rounds.

Question: What are things you consider when buying a laptop for work (and some recreational purposes)?
- It's probably not going to encounter something as intensive as running MMORPGs, massive Excel spreadsheets, or heavy-duty programming. - Maybe it'll encounter programs used to learn about machine learning and AI programming, basic simulation programmes for scientific programs, and the like. - I'd like to hear what you consider to be the minimum and "maximum", and some things to look out for in terms of future-proofing (eg. Certain old models are usable, but the support given will be phased out in a few years time). - Where to even begin.

I'm currently searching for one but I don't know what things I should keep in mind when looking for a good one. And coincidentally, my course is also about AI and machine learning (If you are doing a course in a University).

To me, there are a few specifications which are good or better to have or look similar, like
- Processors: I have the belief that the Intel i7 is better than the i5 of the same generation. Unless intense work is required, the best, the i9, need not be bought. This leaves the i7 as a "better to have" option. Plus, apparently the latest Ryzen 7 processors are said to perform just about the same as the latest i7 processors. - A minimum Memory of 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD storage seem more than enough assuming that the device isn't used to store and process large volumes of data (massive spreadsheets and videos, and maybe entertainment). - All displays come with seemingly high sharpness based on the number of pixels included, so they look the same to me. However, I heard of the case of OLED burnout which makes me wonder if a better display is worth the unknown frequency of this potential issue.
Even after filtering in favour of these specifications, there is still a wide variety left. Barring those within an integrated ecosystem like the Macbook, I wonder how do people choose?

Even after filtering in favour of these specifications, there is still a wide variety left. Barring those within an integrated ecosystem like the Macbook, I wonder how do people choose? Most important point, IMO, is the processor (which is also mostly what drives the price). Pay close attention to the processor, look at some reviews (there are plenty). If you're not doing anything really heavy-duty, i5 or even i3 might be sufficient. Based on your description, I doubt you need i7. Pay attention to the version, not just the number, newer i5 may be better than older i7. AMD Ryzen might give you better value for money than Intel for mid-range processors, at least that's what I found last time I bought a laptop. But Google before you buy. Yes, that's more than enough RAM and storage. Never paid attention to display, might be relevant if you do a lot of gaming, but I'd guess any computer that fits your criteria will be good enough. But Google reviews for certainty if you have doubts. Beyond that - price, personal preference. I've usually bought Dell, last time I got an Acer (because I was in a country where Dell isn't) and have been happy with it so far (1 year on). Later today I can give a few more details.

Battery durance !!, display brightness, mechanical quality and RAM memory are for me the most important things to check when investing in a notebook.
The processor performance is wasted by the inefficient software design of modern OS anyway and you will not use a laptop for processing. Usually more RAM improves the speed much more than a slightly faster processor.
The AI modells I know, don't run on the CPU and use the GPU instead.

Re. Laptop - mine has AMD Ryzen 5 4500U and 8 GB of RAM (and I lied, it's HP, not Acer). I've used it with rather large Excel spreadsheets and some light gaming (Rebel Inc., Minecraft) with no issues and without apparently being close to the limit of its capabilities. Never done anything with AI so can't comment.
Re. Pineapple on pizza - yes please (I'm hungry now).

My personal requirements are something like 256 gb of storage, 8 gb of ram, and 8 hours of battery life. Something like an i5 core or equivalent is fine. i7's are a lot more expensive and so aren't really a budget option. i3s are usually enough for menial tasks but probably can't even handle hd Youtube videos. I use a Microsoft Surface Go Laptop 2 (costs about 1000 CAD), which allegedly has 12 hours of battery life, but in practice it's more like 6-8. Here are a few things I've used it on.
Photopea image editing: Handles everything at low-mb levels just fine, starts to lag at 10's and 100's of mb. Processing software (excel, word, etc.): Handles just fine, but slightly laggy at extremely large data sets (large word files, but even excel files that are 100k's of lines long are perfectly fine) Gaming: I haven't really played games on this but online web games, flash, etc. are perfectly fine. Probably will have a harder time handling actual pc games.
So as a fourth year university student with some coding requirements (I'm studying astrophysics) it's more than enough. If you want higher performance at the cost of battery life you can try out the ASUS TUF series (F15 has a similar price), which are basically low-end gaming laptops.
My last laptop was a macbook which had ... about the same performance, but was a bit more expensive. The main selling point of a macbook is security and being easy to use. The main weakness of it is the fact that 90% of apps aren't compatible without emulators.
I don't have strong opinions on pineapples on pizza but I do think if you have pineapples you should also have another topping that can balance out the flavour.
