We can now dismantle useless troops to get souls of war and then trade those in for useful troops. However, it is quite expensive and it's a 5:1 conversion. Similar story with parts. However, I think that the best way to get fragments is still to reroll shop and recruit.

Looks a bit like a cannon orban cannon Ignore rampart dmg reduction (completely), increases damage to rampart by 25% and has a chance of reducing rampart durability by 25% stone annihilation |

easiest way is to just buy richard and then farm gold with conquests, use that gold to buy units from shop and break them into souls of war. Also use the units you get from recruitment while rerolling for varangians.

Also, if you do a bit of math, it's a few hundred thousand gold per tier 5 unit depending on the efficiency of the purchase. Gold units have the highest efficiency with something like 1750 gold per soul although you generally want to keep them. Purple units are closer to 2200 gold per soul and blue have >3000 gold per soul. Considering that it takes 125 for tier 5 and 200 for tier 6, that's a minimum of 220k per tier 5 or 350k per tier 6, which is quite expensive. That's 18 Anglo-Saxon conquests for a single vagranian or 28 conquests for a tier 6 so unless I have infinite gold, I'm not going to buy units from the shop for the purpose of getting souls. |
