And Huo can now finally be an undisputed member of the elite. He spawns as Imperial cavalry in the arena (where movement is not much of an issue) and there are 2 new ways to get permanent high morale. But again high morale is essential for commander generals as high morale -> more damage -> more kills -> more attacks And arena is probably not for a long. As in EW5 as soon as all the rewards are obtained it will be useless

As in EW5 as soon as all the rewards are obtained it will be useless This depends on how much we want these badges and if we have to "draw" a lot to get rare ones. (Hopefully not more than to reach the 300,000 point rank). And, so far, the generals which I'd always use were Commander and Belisarius - because they are good and they interact well with the high morale/crit boosting items.
Now, 2 more generals are allowed in this tier and Huo puts himself in a prime position with +2% atk, +2% crit chance and +4% crit dmg over his nemesis Arminius. With every crit boost on Huo, he can reach (83+base)%. Whether that is enough to compete against Antony, Pompey, Mithridates and Octavian, remains to be seen. But he made the first step in me using him and probably finally investing in his skills and rank :-)

Huo will certainly be a beast in arena (counterattack and maybe even raid is useful there), but I don't think Antony is anywhere near him. In arena, mobility doesn't matter so Antony stinks because he has low damage output compared to the rest of them. Also, in campaign, mobility doesn't matter that much because of all the new items and stuff. lvl 2 gallic war gives geography and +4 mobility which should be enough for any scenario. Unless riding master turns out to be extremely OP, I'd prefer Huo, Arminius and Belisarius over Antony. I used to love march and movement, but now with all the new items it becomes less useful and Antony just doesn't hit hard enough.

If you ask the best arena player right now, namely myself... ...I would say that Belisarius and... Hasdrubal are the most annoying opponents at the moment. Trembling I am waiting for Hannibals to meet

Hannibal is slow and dumb, he walks last and therefore always sits in the rear. It's better for him when the enemy goes first. However, a couple of good Hannibal Aoe hits can change the course of the fight. Better a slow Hannibal than a fast Antony. The quieter you go, the further you'll get.
