Can you test Totila against Simeon, with and without Plain? Stats wise they look pretty similar. Stop joking! 😜 I'm serious. For cavalry a maxed out Totila has 32 points, whereas Simeon has 39. That's just a difference of 3 atk. The bonus provided by nobility is 8% for Totila and 14% for Simeon, but Totila has two terrain skills that will increase the damage bonus to 13.4%. As I've said, not that big of a difference, considering the medal gap.

Simeons cavalry capabilities are lower then Henry the 2nds. So I think ehs a mixed bag in terms of capabilities

There's too many other good Cav. commanders IMO Nevsky is a better choice at the beginning. With Alfred, Nevsky and Baldwin (all in F2P) you won’t need any other cav gen.

Baldwin and Barbarossa are relatively equal, I have both for Hero legend and don’t regret What imo we miss - 3rd good f2p archer except Narses and El Cid

Aetius is OK. Once he gets a unique weapon people will come to the light. He has some of the best skills in the game.

kingbutawl, indeed they are but you know, in missions you have melee cav and mixed stacks, where very often Barbarossa performs better than Baldwin

I think Barbarossa outperforms Baldwin due to higher morale. When I deploy Friederich he always reaches the golden eagle in very few turns, ending in triple charge.
