Now for andrei 's happiness I made some tests on Baldwin too (beware, these are ridiculous experiments ). I can claim that the king of Jerusalem is able to not charge even once for 3 out of 10 times, which makes him decisevely special! In the first two screenshots I've used lvl10 Alfred's unique, purple horse and yellow book. Third and fourth images have lvl10 "Immortality" instead of "Barrier of swords". Simeon only has Richard's unique, purple horse and yellow book.

Bros, I've been testing Barbarossa for almost 3 weeks as F2P and I'd say he's almost on par with Baldwin F2P. I gave him Joyeuse (damage reduction on cavalry is just so good) and mongolian warhorse. The third item might transform him in a pure tank or in a balanced knight (+10% damage reduction or offence), since morale is already compensated by his skills (but He could have always high morale which is really good). He can reach max 110 cav points with these items , while Swageon still remains capped at 84 cav points (so he'd need more damage, but I'd give him a damage reduction item just to balance him a little more).

"Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened" . Now Swageon's heir is Nevsky of the North Star.

Can you test Totila against Simeon, with and without Plain? Stats wise they look pretty similar.

I'm sorry Manstein, but I threw all my resources maxing out Nevsky (I'd say strategically is better Baldwin with a damage reduction item). I can only post a Totila on single Noble Cavalry. Maybe someone else could help in this situation... kingbutawl, stoic, andrei, jonblend, randomperson,

Do not underestimate a lower rank general. If you are so confident, why can't you post here some tests about?

I need upgrade this guy now, with my short of resources, it's a bad idea to hammer large nails with a microscope like Totila, if there is a sledgehammer like Alexander Nevsky. PS. Now he can easy get +37 cavalry points only if upgrade his unique weapon and rank. 131 cavalry points it's not joke with Totila max 60+ points. Then I maybe change England longbow for kite shield of ranger, and get +15 cavalry points more and damage reduction 5%, in total 146 cavalry points.

Take into consideration damage boost from books is a game changer.

Take into consideration damage boost from books is a game changer. One of two book need Narses for formation +1, second book now for El Cid, maybe later, but 146 cavalry points are 146 points.

Yes, but a damage booster adds more damage than raw cav points (take this into account). Btw we have limited resources, so everyone chooses the general who best deserves the quirkiest gadget.
