I personally think that Leadership is an excellent skill for Cnut. His moral will increase automatically in 3 turns after deployment (even without fighting) and will never drop ever since...  |

Leadership also increases nearby allies morale which is huge and for now there isn't any decent candidates except theodora who is far weaker. With cnut and barbarossa(if they didn't changed his skills) your whole team will be in high morale in two turns and 20% more damage & increasing charge,detour etc chance is no joke.very strong combination imo. |

I almost always deploy Hardrada in campaing, he can one shot almost any enemy, Id eploy Cnut on 3 stack infantry and he tanks like perfectly. Not to mention naval missions where norsmen dominate. Hi zabadanov86 , nice to see you again  |

For those interested: Doing a quick test on my Alfred with his item and some other items, I can say that skills cap at level 4. This means that the Advanced War Axe is the best item for Cnut. This also means that I wasted medals on the Imperial Lance for Alfred (at least Lancelot/Baibars can have it later).
My question is: Is
Viking - Viking - Viking
or
Viking - Varangian - Varangian
or
Viking - Viking - Varangian
...better?

For those interested: Doing a quick test on my Alfred with his item and some other items, I can say that skills cap at level 4. This means that the Advanced War Axe is the best item for Cnut. This also means that I wasted medals on the Imperial Lance for Alfred (at least Lancelot/Baibars can have it later). My question is: Is Viking - Viking - Viking or Viking - Varangian - Varangian or Viking - Viking - Varangian ...better? Alternatively you can run the triple varangies unga bunga build. |

But most of the time triple Varangians setup wins a day, because they are more tanky and have higher chances to charge. Two Varangians and one unit of Vikings is a possible option too, but only if you are willing to spend tons of gold on upgrading Vikings - a unit almost unusable outside Cnut's sphere of interest. |

Cnut with his unique weapon and triple Varangians is an absolute unit. I went War Axe, because it stacks the best with his unique. Highly recommend this general. Why did you put War Axe Cavalry on Cnut? Cnut is infantry general, not Cav. He was referring to Advanced War axe. It is a blue tier item, that will increase Infantry points and one of Cnut's abilities. |

For campaign or conquest where you can replenish unit and generally these events take longer to complete, I would say maybe it's ok to use the 1 viking to get the boost, but for Hero Legend or the Treasure quest things use 3 Varangian. My opinion is, unless you have BOTH Viking and Varangian maxed out then I would say it seems smarter to just invest in Varangian and don't even bother using or investing in Viking. |
