El Cid's here and he's a pretty good general if not a little overpriced, he starts with good stats, decent ranks, and amazing skills aside from his active which is pretty bad for an archer general like him, he also has an amazing weapon in Tizona which when sufficiently upgraded will allow him to be one of the hardest hitting generals in the game.
His main drawbacks are his price which is ludicrous for someone who still needs a decent level of investment and conflicting skills sets that leaves some confusion on his preferred legion composition.
All in all he's a definite buy for your endgame roster mostly thanks to his great skills, item, and hero legend which has amazing raid rewards. A solid 5 for me.

Eh, he's okay. Good unit, but I don't like his item. I would much prefer damage reduction than addition, but archer points are always welcome for increasing defense. Has practically zero survivability, low title and meh rank, very conflicting skills, very wasted active on his units. Ridiculous price. Yes, he is a good archer, but he isn't that great at all.

You can always ennoble him to Emperor. If you want more defense you can give him the yellow/blue armor  |

My Cid goes with 1 Varangian and 2 Ravenna and he's an average figter way below than Cnut or Alfred. So I'm thinking about to change Varangian for Woad, but then I'll got 2 similar Archer generals - Cid and Robin.

My Cid goes with 1 Varangian and 2 Ravenna and he's an average figter way below than Cnut or Alfred. So I'm thinking about to change Varangian for Woad, but then I'll got 2 similar Archer generals - Cid and Robin. Varangian and Ravenna are a great combination, Varangian has a forest mobility bonus while Ravenna has a mountain mobility bonus, so you get one strong and mobile general who moves easily on current Conquest maps and most missions. If you change Varangian, El Cid Outburst becomes useless. |

El Cid, with his f2p unique weapon, is a highly versatile general. One of the bests f2p generals, alongside Alfred and Cnut.
-If you wanna special archer force:
Camel Archer + Elephant Archer + Nordic Heavy Axemen/Varangie
-If you wanna damage dealer archer force with high mobility:
Mongolian + Ravenna + Conquistador
-If you wanna defensive force with high mobility:
Conquistador + Legion Spearmen/Halberdiers + Any Archer (Frank Axemen, why not, to reduce damage from those detour melee cav)
-If you wanna Cid be Cid:
Conquistador/Woad + Ravenna + Nordic Heavy Axemen/Varangie
He worth every coin. 5/5

I would dare say he is the second best f2p gen in game besides Cnut. He has both amazing attack and counter attack damage. His outburst might seem bad, but when you put a Varangian guard on it, it's pretty useful. He can easily deal over a thousand damage with the ability. Not to mention his regular attacks range from 700-1200 when he is deployed on merc units. His hero legend helps you unlock a good ranged unit. A solid 5/5

Is it like if you don't use it, the damage only hits the first enemy unit, and if you use it the same amount of damage will hit all enemy units in that legion (in other words 3 times the damage)? I hope the question came out understandable. Yes, charge means You attack every unit of the enemy legion. Outburst active skill triggers 100% charge. But it can only be triggered for the units having charge. In case charge possibility of Your unit is 0%. It won't trigger. |
