IAP. Eisenhower
Price: $6.99
Promotional stars: 4
Stars: 5 in Infantry, 2 in Armor, 4 in Navy, 4 in Air, 3 in Movement
Skills: Crowd Tactics (Gold), Inspiration (Gold), Army Group (Gold)
Strengths:
- CT works in counterattacks
- Damage decent even without CT
- Double aura
- Speedy
Weaknesses:
- CT hard to use
- No survivability
- Inspiration = worst aura
- IAP
- If you are going to spend medals on ET games, why not get something else?
Analysis:
Well, well, well. The aura Ushijima/Terauchi himself. His CT gives damage, his aura does aura things, and his other aura also does aura things. CT is conditional though, and Inspiration is meh. If you are a heavy inf user and a CT abuser, maybe he will be the best IAP. Otherwise, he will be the worst, especially due to his bad package (Knight Badges aren't hard to get). He doesn't have survivability, which hinders him further. He is worse than Rundstedt.

1. Rundstedt
Price: 915 medals
Promotional stars: 4
Stars: 4 in Infantry, 2 in Armor, 2 in Artillery, 2 in Air
Skills: Fire Suppression (Gold), Infantry Leader (Gold), Plunder Supply (Gold)
Strengths:
- Fantastic damage
- Good survivability
- Skill synergy
Weaknesses:
- No movement
- Inconsistent damage
Analysis:
The most popular infantry general on the forums and the most regular punching bag of the Easytech Discord Server. What the Discord server doesn't seem to grasp is that IL is at least as good as BC, if not better. (Apologies to beginners for the slang. When we use two uppercase letters together, we are probably referring to a skill. You can probably figure out which.) Rundstedt has better damage than Yamashita AND Kuribayashi due to IL giving him 24% extra damage on top of his stars. He also has the best survivability in the game, due to his FS AND Plunder, allowing him to regenerate. IL also leads to FS and Plunder triggering more. (IL leads to more hits, leading to more FS use and more enemies defeated.) Unfortunately, BC is more consistent than IL leading to Yama getting higher base damage. He also has no movement, but this is partially remedied by heavy SF use. Plunder is also not as good as it was in EW6 with the OP Ottoman cavalry.

2. Yamashita
Price: 810 medals
Promotional stars: 4
Stars: 4 in Infantry, 1 in Armor, 1 in Artillery, 3 in Movement
Skills: Guerilla (Gold), Bayonet Charge (Gold), Samurai (Gold)
Strengths:
- Consistent damage
- Good survivability
- Fantastic movement
- Aggressive placements viable
Weaknesses:
- Worse damage than Rundstedt with Infantry Leader
- Inconsistent survivability
- SFs reduce movement stars' usefulness
Analysis:
Yamashita is very consistent with damage and has good survivability, although his survivability is worse than Rundstedt's FS and Plunder. Yamashita's base damage is (I believe) highest in the game for F2Ps, but Rundstedt has IL and Kuribayashi has BC AND Raider, so after chance-based skills are factored in, Rundstedt and Kuribayashi are at the finish line whilst Yamashita is left at the the starting line scratching his head. Yamashita is, however, more consistent than Rundstedt's IL and Kuri's Raider. He also has Guerilla over Kuri. His biggest strength is his 3 stars in movement, giving him tons of mobility and allowing him to zip across the battlefield faster than the Messerschmitt Me 163. However, SFs exist and many of them have movement, giving a slow general like Rundstedt satisfactory mobility. But the same SF will give Yamashita mobility that Rundstedt and Kuribayashi can only dream of. By the way, Samurai helps when you want to go crazy aggressive, but when would you really want to opt for that?

3. Mannerheim
Price: 705 Medals
Promotional stars: 4
Stars: 4 in Infantry, 1 in Armor, 2 in Artillery, 2 in Movement
Skills: Rumor (Gold), Sniper (Gold), Accuracy Strike (Gold)
Strengths:
- SF killer
- Infantry killer
- Enough movement
- Somewhat cheap
Weaknesses:
- Terrible output to armor and artillery
- No survivability
- Rumor is not good anymore
- Why use a dedicated infantry killer when others will do even more to infantry AND other unit types?
- Assault SFs exist!
Analysis:
Alright, he has 4 stars and Sniper... and what else exactly? Rumor is nearly useless as the few points of morale do barely anything. Accuracy Strike is unnecessary because often you can simply destroy the unit instead of the SF. Without those two nearly negligible skills, all he has is 4 stars and Sniper. Oh wait, Kuribayashi has +27 damage and then +24% crit chance? Kuri will be good vs everything with similar (aka: nilch) survivability. Also, Assault SFs exist, so no need for specialist inf killer when you have Rundstedt, Yamashita and Rommel as inf killers. At least he has 2 stars in movement and a somewhat good price as consolation.

4. Ushijima
Price: 720 medals
Promotional stars: 3
Stars: 3 in Infantry, 2 in Artillery, 2 in Movement
Skills: Crowd Tactics (Gold), Scout (Gold), Desperate (Gold)
Strengths:
- CT works in counterattack
- Enough movement
Weaknesses:
- Other 2 skills are kinda bad
- CT is conditional
- No survivability
Analysis:
Ushijima is widely touted by Gerdy as the second best Axis infantry general. However, he has failed to convert most of the forums to the ways of an overpriced general with only one good skill. CT gives +10 damage during attack and counterattack whilst BC gives +12, but only in attack and not in counterattack. But CT only works when you have more stacks than the enemy, which is hard to always achieve, especially without survivability. At least he can run away to a city with his 2 movement stars. Also, Kuribayashi's Raider also works in counterattack, giving him decent counterattack all the time. As Desperate and Scout aren't good skills, it seems that Ushijima will remain a fringe-y choice.

5. Terauchi
Price: 580 medals
Promotional stars: 3
Stars: 3 in Infantry, 2 in Armor, 2 in Artillery
Skills: Inspiration (Gold), Victory Rush (Gold)
Strengths:
- Hybrid
- Decent damage with Victory Rush
- Aura
- Decent price
Weaknesses:
- Jack of all trades, master of none
- No survivability
- No movement
- What if you can't flank the enemy?
Analysis:
Terauchi - The general who was so good at breathing, Easytech gave him a skill called Inspiration. However good at breathing he may be, he is not that good in combat. 3 stars + VR = +25 damage, whilst Kuri has +27 AND Raider. He also has no survivability and movement. And when you cannot flank the enemy, Boris on mountain has better output. As for Inspiration, it cannot raise you into high morale, so it is the worst aura in the game and not really a good skill. He is a hybrid, but on tank you can use Guderian and on artillery Leeb or Badoglio. Hence, he is not really recommended.

Skills: Raider (Gold), Bayonet Charge (Gold), Samurai (Gold)
Strengths:
- Crazy damage
- Consistent damage
- Good price
- Aggressive placements viable
Weaknesses:
- No movement
- No survivability
Analysis:
He seems fantastic on paper, and he is the gold standard of 3 promotional star Axis inf generals. Don't get me wrong, he is good. But he has no survivability, which is a pain in the butt. He also has no movement, which means that he cannot run away to a city to resupply. He is quite the glass cannon. He is basically Rundstedt but consistent in damage and trash in survivability. And with Yamashita and Rundstedt both offering good damage and survivability, Kuribayashi may seem a bit redundant.

7. Model
Price: Free (1941)
Promotional stars: 3
Stars: 3 in Infantry, 2 in Armor, 2 in Air
Skills: Elastic Defense (Gold), Garrison (Gold), Jungle Fighting (Silver)
Strengths:
- Free
- Emergency air/tank general
Weaknesses:
- Meh damage
- Poor survivability
- No movement
Analysis:
Decent freebie and good second inf gen. However, all other infantry generals on this list outclass him. So it depends on whether you want a secondary non-free Axis inf. His damage, survivability and movement ain't special, but he's free, so you can't complain. He is also a meh carrier gen in 1942.

8. Student
Price: 440 medals
Promotional stars: 3
Stars: 3 in Infantry, 3 in Air, 2 in Movement
Skills: Paratrooper (Gold), Passion (Gold)
Strengths:
- Great damage (with Para-Passion combo)
- Air/Infantry hybrid
- Great price
- Enough movement
Weaknesses:
- Kesselring
- No survivability
- Terrible damage without Para-Passion
Analysis:
He is a Paratrooper one-trick. He will deal crazy damage with Passion, but without, he will be weak. He also has no survivability, which is especially terrible when you paratroop into 3 heavy tank generals. At least his movement and price sweeten the deal and make him a non-terrible buy. Kesselring can also do his job (you often encircle enemies after paratrooping), but he is worse and more expensive at it. Kesselring, however, is a good air gen, unlike Student who has 3 air stars and no air skills.
