I have been using growth rate and get all of it from prior chart/information posted here, but when I put growth rate in search to figure out why we call it growth rate, and all of the details of how you know what growth rate for each general, I don't see it here. I assume that players who start early jot down the stat increase per level of each general, then base on the different stat increase, you label a growth rate to them. But I never ask so it's just an assumption.
Can someone tell me who come up with the growth rate term here, and the process of finding growth rate for each general? Thanks,

Thanks. It seems like Jon already checked with Erich regarding growth rates, and has the answer in the last paragraph in his post. I will copy it here just to have an answer for this thread: Growth Rates: It's an internal value which characterizes a general's stat growth (higher growth rate roughly translates to higher stats) and it also determines the upgrade costs. In effect, there are 7 growth rates (actually 8 but 1 and 2 are "the same" with regards to medal cost) leading to 7 upgrade patterns:

Thanks, Nice that you already found the relevant chart I'd like to expand a little further. I first came across the term in Erich von Manstein's old general rating thread. Back then it seemed like just another term for upgrade prices (and it didn't make sense to have group 1 and 2 separated).
But, since this was also the time that level 70 upgrades were introduced, I had the chance to track how much stat points a general would get from 60 to 70. And it turns out there are 8 distinct patterns which perfectly correlate with upgrade prices.

That's very nice bro. Thanks for clarifying your method. I bet Erich and the early players track those stat as well at low level and come up with 8 growth rates back in 2017.
