I will host 1 poll every week for each USA presidential election starting with 1896, with the members of this forum as the electorate. Then, I will change history based on who got elected, and change the candidates accordingly.
Write-in votes are allowed, just type out who you’re voting in a post.
Third party candidates are given a debuff of a few votes, to ensure that the Homo-Populist All-Union Posadist Party doesn’t win the White House. Write-in candidates take a debuff of 5 votes.
Finally, if you want to be tagged when a new poll comes out, let me know.

I want to be tagged if at all possible. And also all people should vote for Bryan/Sewell. We need Seaborgianism near the White House. Plus Tom Watson is a "interesting" choice to say the least, but I suppose he was fine in 1896.

After Bryan’s upset victory, he wasted no time in enacting progressive reforms to the United States. After the passing of the Free Silver Act of 1898, prices had largely stabilised and economic prosperity had returned. As for foreign policy, the Spanish-American War had ended in a victory for the United States, and Cuba and the Philippines had been granted independence. In early 1900, Arthur Sewall passed away, leading the Democratic convention to choose Horace Boies as Bryan’s running mate in 1900. The Republican Party, however, is in disarray. Thomas B. Reed of Maine, Matthew Quay of Pennsylvania, William B. Allison of Iowa and Theodore Roosevelt of New York have all sought the nomination. Now it is time for the members of EFC to take their pick between them. RULES FOR CONVENTIONS: Each voter gets to pick their top two. The candidate with the most votes gets the nomination for President; the candidate with the second most votes gets the nomination for Vice President. Gerd von Rundstedt

OK, I flipped a coin to break the tie, and hence Allison is nominated for President and Quay is his running mate. For anyone who’s wondering, Roosevelt got 1 vote, tying with Quay.
Okay, so it’s 4 tickets to pick from: Bryan/Boies, Allison/Quay, Bryan/Watson and Woolley/Metcalf (Prohibition Party, debuff -1).

Also, if the Prohibition Party gets one vote, whoever wins this election will consider implementing temperance. Gerd von Rundstedt

Bryan/Boies just because I love Bryan (evangelical progressivism) and hate Watson. I am not voting for Prohibition unless Chafin is the nominee.

From this election I could start voting for Eugene Debs, but there is no option. Clearly the socialist vote is being suppressed

I also want to be tagged for new polls when they come out; as for this election, Bryan is a decent all-rounder, though I concur with whoever said Debs. If Roosevelt was McKinley's running mate (as in real life), my vote would go there.

This is a series where the President “elected” in the last election gets to pursue their own agenda in the next 4 years.

After Bryan’s landslide re-election where he won many traditionally Republican states such as New York and Pennsylvania, he continued his quest to keep America going. He managed to pass new anti-trust and anti-monopoly legislation while taking a firm stance against imperialism. Meanwhile, the GOP is in tatters and has lost much of its appeal, leading to a new party to arise on the political scene … the Socialists. But first, let’s cover the 1904 DNC. Bryan has shockingly decided to run for a third term, a move strongly condemned by the GOP and Socialists. His only challenges for the nomination are Adlai Stevenson and Alton B. Parker. Note: Bryan will choose Boies as his running mate, so this will just be a basic FPTP convention. Gerd von Rundstedt Jeanne d'Arc
