Use generals focused on destroying the morale of the enemy. Either with specific active skill or with specific units in the legion. Helepolis cannon lvl. 3 could also help For example use charging cav gen with: Noble cav + camel rider + elephant This way camel+elephant with Helepolis cannon lvl.3 could provide enormous morale blow. I use Alfred with such a setup. Simeon is also good.

The solution is to kill all the French troops with Philip VI and capture all their cities before making the siege. Step by step the morale of the city defenders is dropping. Don.t attack the city untill that - that is useless. Mind to protect your ally ships that are moving from the north east - your βisland troopsβ should go there immediatly to hold sea positions. A couple of βland troopsβ could be sent there by sea as well (be sure to have Dromons for navy enemies and Viking ships for land enemies. After ally ships are gone in safety, capture the eastern city, then capture the southern city and kill French king Phillip. Then move your best generals to the main city. Be sure to have Orban cannons and Heli-cannons to destroy city walls

And if so, need it be from two different units, or would two elephants also stack the morale drop? I thought it could only drop by five points, regardless of how many units with trample you deploy.

Moral drop is not provided by Trample only. Elephant skill (war elephants) and Camel skill (camel riders) provide more. So it is Trample, Elephant and Camel - 3 skills - what You can get at the same time provided the requirements are fulfilled.

capture the two city to cut supply.
then defeat the enemy surrounding calais. surround it until it drops morale which will drop if it cant recruit units/no spawn unit in castle.
defeat every unit in castle until it drops morale. dont place a unit to stop spawning.
the key here to win is to drop the morale to shattered which make it lose 50% hp. by depleting its supply
the castle walls will always be repaired.

Thing is he is immune to morale damage. He has the war gear that makes it so morale never drops except for certain events

Thing is he is immune to morale damage. He has the war gear that makes it so morale never drops except for certain events So you wait for the events to trigger to drop his morale (aka you have to trigger the events).

I hope not the description ET provides us with Item is crappy. It probably works only for the morale drop connected to city capture and events like this. Here are some screenshots: For this particular mission it is necessary to capture other cities as the general will raise his morale (40 points) every turn or every second turn if attacked. So it is not connected with the gear.

At around 5000 City HP the walls will heal "only once per turn". I achieved the Victory by ignoring Calais first, clear everything else around, as Said here before. Then really siege the city.
1 round attack until City has close to half HP. Next round, after the first Attack it will heal. Then i used double alfreds skill and with enough attacks the city will fall. Even without any wargear. I don't use them at all. The onetime usage annoys me. Cleared all campains only with some ships, when the mission don't give ships. Otherweise never use any wargear.

Something IS wrong with this level. On HARD mode. After taking all the cities and castles, killing every other unit on the scenario. I spent 10 rounds with my best generals with wargear lvl 3 around the city (Double Alfred ability included) And that mtfckr would FULLY HEAL twice every round.
Also tried to occupy the 4 yellow circles on top corner: Nothing happens. Conclusion: Some trigger is missing Already tried this lvl 8 times, really frustrating. Some light on this?
