awesome i think ill prioritize him over patton. that tide of iron looks just incredible  Katukov looks like a 3rd tank slot general with good survivability, but I wouldn't put Patton over him. I think Vatutin is also better output-wise as the 3rd tank considering plain fighting. Yeah, lacking plain fighting hurts quite a lot for a tank general. |

Quick question: in the description of the skills given by medals, every time it says "death blow" it means "critical hit", right?

Quick question: in the description of the skills given by medals, every time it says "death blow" it means "critical hit", right? It’s kind of an EW4 critical hit meaning it will deal maximum damage like assault art. Some medal combinations will add a damage multiplier, turning it into a more EW5 critical hit. |

Quick question: in the description of the skills given by medals, every time it says "death blow" it means "critical hit", right? Just bad translation, because critical hit in Chinese is written as either “brutal blow” or “fatal blow”, “death blow” is the latter translated back to English. |

Another question: how often do you get the combo medal as operation reward? Because I have played Operation Barbarossa about 10 times (I started farming it only recently) and never got it  |

But getting it on Invasion into North Africa Hard is more likely since it awards 4 medals instead of Operation Barbarossa's 3 medals. |

Another question: how often do you get the combo medal as operation reward? Because I have played Operation Barbarossa about 10 times (I started farming it only recently) and never got it Hard to tell in retrospective, I have a total of 48 lv1 combo medals (12 from conquest rewards) and I got most of them from Barbarossa hard (~75%). But I was also aiming for tank and arty medals back then. With more operations and challenge conquests being added I needed more air (and inf/navy) medals so I shifted to farming Invasion of North Africa (responsible for 25% of farmed combo medals).
Barbarossa is so fast for me that I could even reroll it for better results (save - play all missions - reroll if bad medals are dropped) and have 2 attempts at it for a single INA completion.
INA takes a lot more time and better generals, but as Luigi Sansonetti mentioned, the extra medal and different medal pool make up for it. I'd say if you can manage to beat INA routinely, then try if it yields better results. Nowadays, my core generals have damage, HP, combo and air medals equipped. |

Re-doing only the last battle is not enough, it has to be all 4 missions, unfortunately. However, if a full clear of Barbarossa takes you 10 minutes while INA is 20 minutes, then two attempts at the former gives you better overall chances (per time spent) when hunting for combo medals. And there is also the possibility of buying them for medals (currency) from wonders just like in the old days |
