Hey, I know this is posted a lot, but I am having issue with unlocking Vitoria. I have perused and followed the guides on this forum for the HRE 1798 conquest. I unlocked Lan, but for some reason cannot get Victoria.
My generals I use are: - Sulkowski, 4 star movement, maxed health and regen - Isabella, maxed health and 8 regen, her usual items are +4 powder and +4 tent. - Lan, 4 star movement, maxed health and regen. I rotate war horse, snare drum, saddle, and +4 and +2 sabres with Lan and Sulkowski.
I started to use Lan on the light cav from Weilburg and then I send her to Italy and it yields similar results to using Sophia, except it also allows me to trade on Rome without needing Charles.
I typically end each time on 30 turns with 5k gold, 1-2k industry and 6k food.
I was able to get Lan on 30 turns (used Sophia in Italy) but I have not been able to get Victoria. I retried twice, ending on round 30 and 31. What am I missing here?

Not sure this helps, have you tried pressing "Rule Europe" as this guarantees you a European Princess like Victoria.

As blueberry said: You are missing ressources ... ... quite a lot ... ... the absolute minimum for Victoria is 3001🔧 in Round 31 (9999💰 + 9999🍖 always) Detailed Info: 850 Years calculation

Do you have advice or a guide to saving in terms of economy? I level all the cities and industries I can level up and stop at round 20. So I guess I am spending too much or spending too much on the wrong units?

Do you have advice or a guide to saving in terms of economy? I level all the cities and industries I can level up and stop at round 20. So I guess I am spending too much or spending too much on the wrong units? In 1798 with the economy crisis is not easy to collect enough ressources. My advices: Upgrading factories and cities is the most important - From Round1 to Round8 (or R10?) You need a 5* trader in vienna (or 2* economy commander with full nobility - click only 2=10) to change iron to money. Only after you can't spend all your ressources for upgrading (around R8 iirc) you should start to build units. Don't build expensive units - almost only militia. Don't stop upgrading so early - upgrade factories up to R23 - and upgrading a lv 3 city in R27 already pays back - (R28 for a lv5 city) ! I personally did not count it before - I update LV3-5 cities untill my last turn - Don't loose any ressources for overrun - everything more than 9999 is lost. So after R20 you need again a trader (this time 5* economy) at an exchange. And you need the trader for the final exchange to finish with 9999 food and 9999 gold.

Thanks for that, I will try that advice on my next HRE run. I probably am wasting too much on more costly units. I have read elsewhere that 1806 France is a possible alternative for Victoria, but I haven't seen any proof of it working yet.

I persoally prefer France 1806 as european princess conquest. 1806 has a strong economy, a great set of strong french generals ... Much more fun than HRE. But to be honest, its only me who plays France-1806 instead of HRE-1798. If you can push through and get Berlin around R12 (France needs to conquer an exchange) the rest is quite easy and 1806 is not a speedrun - with a strong economy of 1806, you can finish when your stock is full (more than 9000 iron) usually around R33-R35; up to R38 Victoria will show up. For now, nobody else unlocked Victoria with a FR1806 - If you want to try it, it will be a grat pleasure for me to read your experience.

I will give France 1806 a few tries and see what I get. I will prolly stick with the same team of generals although I might need someone to park on the exchange with 5 trading stars (I don't have Arnold, but Lan is 5 trading stars). If I pull it off, I will make a post.

Remember: the first exchanges from iron to gold in Berlin can be also done from a commander with nobility 10 and at least 2* (for about 3 rounds) - To avoid overun, You need Lan on an exchange from around R23 on. A full stock is the target. I bring my third general around R13/R15 on an new AC after the economy kicks in. I wish You sucess - and Enjoy
