Some info is outdated but the newer entries are correct.
1. Take some cities but avoid paris.
2. The enemy elite gen leaves paris to attack you.
3. Now take paris.

Win by accumulating funds.
Use plunder gens smartly if you have them.
Some players entirely reccomend plunder + calmness, without taking cities
