Hello guys!
The original directory was made by Warlord247 a long time ago. As he's recently been away from the forum, he hasn't been able to update the thread with the newly created groups. So, I asked for his permission to create a new version, and now, here we are.
Basically, groups are the EFC version of clubs. There are groups about many things, ranging from fan groups to ones based on stuff like history. Each group has a criteria to join, for example, passing a test for a history-themed group. You can create your own group as long as you gather enough people to volunteer as initial members and have Saltin's (the admin of the forum) approval.
To join a group, go to your profile and click on groups, where you can apply for them. As long as you meet the criteria of the said group, you'll be accepted.
The List of Active Groups
RP Enthusiasts: A group for dedicated roleplayers, the regulars of the World in Flames board. RPs are forum games where you control your forces on the road to victory via wars and diplomacy. To join this group, you need to have participated in at least one RP. To apply, go to your profile>groups and your application be accepted if you meet the criteria.
Role Player Executive Officers: The non-staff leaders of the roleplaying board. Their job is to keep things fair, help settle any potential arguments, and lead the board. They have powers like being able to lock/open threads if things get too heated (which thankfully, I've never had to use). They're elected by RP players. The current ones are myself and Kliment Jefremovitš Vorošilov.
The Senate: A group for Star Wars fans. To join, you only need to be a fan of it (how surprising ]). If you're interested in various discussions about the franchise, this is your place. The creator and leader of this group is Kliment Jefremovitš Vorošilov. To apply for this group, you need to go to this thread: Link
Geographers: A group for those interested in geography. To join, you must pass a test of 5 questions. To apply for this group, you need to go this thread: Link
Historical Society: A group for history enthusiasts. If you're interested in history and various discussions about it, this is your place. You need to pass a test of your personal choice of a period to join. The creator and leader of this group is Gerd von Rundstedt. To apply for this group, you need to go to this thread: Link
Tacticians: A group for those interested in discussions about military tactics, battles, and all military related parts of history. To join, you need to pass a test from the historical period you choose. The leader is Ludwig von Mises. To apply for this group, you need to go to this thread: Link
The Engineering Corps: A group of dedicated modders. As far as I know, you need to have created one mod to join, and then you can request the role from Saltin. I couldn't find much information on the group, so if this is incorrect, I'd appreciate it if its members corrected me
Game Modification Leaders: The leaders of the Game Modifications board. They determine the rules for the modificiation board and what they say goes. The current ones are Darth Vader and Arthur Currie, both of whom are great and respected modders themselves.
World's Fastest Conqueror: A group for those who have a fastest conqueror record for an EasyTech game. To join, you need to have the fastest conquest or army group in an EasyTech speedrunning board. The leaders of this group are andrei and best75.
Scholars: A group of members who have created 10 useful and noteworthy works (such as mods, libraries, guides etc). Like the name suggests, they're the scholars of our forum. The creator and leader of this group is Darth Vader. To apply for this group, you need to go to this thread: Link
Illuminati Redux
A group consisting of top forum contributors. You need to have 150 points (it was originally 100, changed later on) on the system explained in the application thread (some examples are guides, lectures etc). The leaders are Warlord247 and John Marston. To apply for this group, you need to go to this thread: Link
And that's about it. I'll try and update this whenever a new group is created, but please let me know by tagging me if I miss something or there's anything you want me to add
Have a good time!
