How good is Raeder compared to Nitmitz and Dönitz? Should I sell Nitmitz to get Raeder?

I think a key factor is this new skill which supposedly can reduce dmg in general or naval dmg by 20% permanently (or 90% of the time; need someone to have it at lvl 5 to confirm). This gives him a huge advantage which the other two cannot overcome.
Plus, he have Fleet Leader and Depot Ship, right? Slap on Rumour and Wolfpack, and you'll have practically the arguably best admiral.
His only rival is Donitz who trades the effective 20% dmg reduction for Sailor (the +30% counterattack dmg at sea skill), which is a bad trade, when it comes to survivability. I assume you pick Wolfpack in this case with Invasion in mind, but you could pick Sailor. This would make Raeder the best in short, but fierce campaigns, as well as Invasion.

So I should put Wolfpack on him if I want him as a submarine main, and put sailor if I want him as a cruiser main? Also should I sell Nitmitz to get Raeder? I think Nitmitz is it bit lacking

I think Nitmitz is it bit lacking Nimitz out of his box is worse than Raeder out of his, except for Nimitz's 6* vs Raeder's 5*. However, a 6-point difference shouldn't be decisive when the skill gap is just that wide. If you can get Raeder, go for it. I'm not sure how new players would be impacted, but saving for Raeder is better than paying for Nimitz on discount (or buying a stand-in admiral).

Give Raeder Rumour and (Wolfpack or Inspiration). I still keep Nimitz just in case there is navy battle in Challenge.

I just checked early warning at level 5 gets you: “100% chance to evade 20% damage when commanding ship units” it’s a nice survivability skill to have

Very good admiral. I gave him sailor and explosives to optimize warzone grinding as Doenitz is the admiral who has rumor for me. Its just very satisfying to see him trigger fleet leader and then trigger early warning one after another.

So should I sell Donitz for Raeder? My medals are very low right now so there's it's either him or Donitz.

Seems to help with the survivability of my naval units.

Give him early warning. And you are short of medals. If you sell Donitz to buy Raeder. You have to level up his navy stars and give him 2 additional skills which costs you more medals.

It looks like for some reason Easytech really likes German admirals. There are two of them available in the game, and those two are undoubtly the best.

Yup, German tank generals too(Guderian, Manstein) Yeah, but the difference is that with tank generals it seems more or less based on their historical feats, IMO. With admirals... Well, not that obvious.
