Darn, potentially we have a very annoying opponent in challenge conquests and nightmare campaigns Ar max level Mi-24 has 90% probability of dodging attacks from Navy and land units. I’ld even consider investing medals in its fragments if helicopter would receive tank ability to attack again after annihilating the enemy which kinda reasonable as helicopters are basically flying tanks. Nice unit for McCambell with his ignoring 100% defence skill I tried to fight with it in conquests using Air strikes. Kinda pointless action, truth be told, because you need dozens to kill it when it is commanded by a general. I think the best strategy when we face it is to ignore Helicopters completely, letting them do their nasty job 😂

Cheaper and sometimes Helicopters are moving away from Your city to bother the allies which is great, as You can steal their cities after that

There are skills, in conquest techs, that can ignore Dodge, advanced Rpg infantry can hit them, and you could always have an air general shoot them down with planes or missiles. I think another threat is also the city-commander-killing typhoon submarine. Dont put a resource general in a city near one. It should also be easier once Typhoon/Hind are unlocked (for me).

Crocodile (Mi24 Hind) is a very good unit. Nice to cross water and capture inconvenient cities on his own. Even Lvl1 unit is very useful. Tried it in conquests with McCambell - awesome. Yes McCambell is the most suitable and p2w gen but Yamamoto is not far from him as well.

Engineering Unit
Why can't it build pontoons to bridge/ford rivers at least?
Anyone unlock it, commander/skill suggestions for this unit?

Engineering Unit Why can't it build pontoons to bridge/for rivers at least? Anyone unlock it, commander/skill suggestions for this unit? I am disappointed, tbh. More often than not it is completely useless for the tasks we have to complete. Maybe I use them in a wrong way, but I can't find a place for this unit in my team. The most interesting feature of Engineers is an ability to build tunnels, but it is extremely difficult to exploit the opportunity without being exposed. Sometimes it is possible to encircle some targets via tunnels but usually it is possible to do even without using it.

The interesting part i found about the engineer is, that the T44 counts as medium Tank and can use the tunnel. So a 2 range Elite Tank can "Spawn" behind the enemy lines

Engineering Unit Why can't it build pontoons to bridge/ford rivers at least? Anyone unlock it, commander/skill suggestions for this unit? Make matters worse it can't even tunnel until it gets to level 5. And tunnel is quite short of range and kind of awkward to use.

I was hoping engineer could be used for crossing rivers, but they don't, tried it already in some event which provided game spawned engineers.

Auf1: gets 3 range at Level 5. Kind of disappointing its so late, especially as I do not think it will ever be available for purchase for medals.

Was doing some research on the Alpini, Arditi, and others and found these were also known as Penne Nere - The Black Feathers, were founded in 1872 (still exist) and there motto - "Di Qui Non Si Passai" which translates to "From here, no one passes" ...pretty much revealed to me why this game unit's special skill is Impede.
Germans also had an Alpine Division who had a tradition of retrieving a certain flower from the Alps, symbolizing their extreme accomplishment.
I came across the Arditi, which means bold or daring ones... Italian assault troops, who were classified among history's "most feared" by some. This stems from their trench warfare tactic of charging/sneaking up on enemy trenches, all while under artillery battage support, and their main weapons of choice were grenades and blades to fool and infiltrate trenches in preparation for main infantry assaults. Their grenades would fool enemy into keeping heads down and still under Artllery bombardment, and silently using daggers to dispatch the defenders. They were disbanded after WW1. And if I remember correctly, their motto translated meant "We win, or we die"(?) Just sharing an interesting fyi historical fact.

We can assume it is self-promotion and PR to justify their existence in the game

Planning on updating this post later this week. Have been quiet in the forum but I have continued grinding and have insight on most of the new units. Here is the changes I'm planning:
Typhoon: Top Tier -> Elite, with upgraded missile and nuke tech this units does absurd damage and is exceptionally useful at lvl 1. Engineer: -> bottom of Mid tier; very middling usage and hard to obtain fragments. RPG / Hind seem rightfully ranked in Top Tier. Akagii: Top Tier -> Mid Tier: simply worse then the typhoon. Hard to aquire. Richelieu: mid Tier -> top tier. Great at cracking forts and best DPS at sea, very obtainable f2p. T72: Top Tier, on par/slightly better then IS3. Expensive. Auf 1: top tier, but heavy investment required. Yukikaze: mid Tier, investment needed to warrant usage.
