With the new update, the new conquest has 21 nato and 13 wto nations. Assuming you reached the previous max cap for points which is around 160 only 35 points are needed for the current cap which can be done pretty easily using the right nations
3 star- USSR 2 star- Poland, Japan, Australia 1 star- Romania, Iraq( any wto nation not exposed to nato frontline)
At first glance, the WTO side has an upper hand and rightfully so. Even if the soviets commit multiple blunders as your allys, their vast army of eltie units will be of great help if you play on their side. There are a couple nato nations that are suggested over some wto nations but imo in general youre better off picking the Wto faction to get points

Has the update been released? If so, I am not seeing it (for android), even checked playstore for any download required updates and found none.

Has anyone tried to make an Alliance with Germany before they join NATO side? Will they remain loyal to WTO cause or join NATO no matter what?

Has anyone tried to make an Alliance with Germany before they join NATO side? Will they remain loyal to WTO cause or join NATO no matter what? I’m doing my first run as a no generals USA. I bought Germany on round 10 and they are a massive help. They stop the Soviet European push in its tracts so you can focus on Africa and Asia. China is easily defeated with Abrams, using nukes on tank generals (especially with Spaatz), and using your carriers to demolish inland cities. This should be doable in under 20 rounds for most players.

I started as Iraq and Germany joined NATO automatically at turn 15. Quite an unpleasant surprise because I just had enough funds to bribe them And, btw, I haven't noticed when but somehow Argentina joined WTO. So, if someone is planning to collect all points for making 12 neutral states your allies he should hurry up bribing Germany and Argentina.

And if someone is interested we need to take 220 cities to complete that quest. I decided to play safe and to clear the whole map, but it was an overkill...

I played PRC and I can confirm bribing Germany before turn 15 makes them loyal to WTO, no betrayal whatsoever. When does Argentina join WTO? I'd imagine they'd just get spanked by all the NATO powers around it.
By the way, I think USSR is not very good. You have tons of good troops but it's a lot of micromanaging and you have to fight basically everyone. PRC is much easier; bribe Germany in, beat up ROC and Japan, bribe India and Saudi Arabia, beat up Australia, bribe everyone in South America, attack North America, and all the while watch USSR and Germany destroy everybody.

Actually Argentina almost destroyed Brasil and all hostile forces of NATO were busy elsewhere. I have no idea how they joined WTO though. Is it possible that AI is now allowed to use bribes as well? It could be interesting I think that the main problem of USSR and USA if you play for their minor allies is that they don't use their excellent troops and generals right. AI despises to use Nuclear bombs of Typhoons for some reasons. Helicopters are very powerful but AI just moves them around without any rhyme or reason. And USA just gathers forces around Cuba doing virtually nothing.

Btw, Saudi Arabia is a very efficient ally too.

I have played two NATO runs with Japan and Belgium. For my first (Japan) I was unprepared for the Event that triggers Argentina to join WTO. They overran Brazil that got held up trying to capture Cuba and a ton of units focus around sokolovsky not doing anything. I had to buy multiple other neutral south American countries into the war to not deal with the front. Allying Germany is an absolute game winner, they spawn a bunch of additional powerful generals and completely stop the Soviet advance in Europe. Have not had the event so far because I buy them in early.

As I suspected USSR is also an easy run. Yes, quite a lot of micromanaging actions but you have a presence on all important war theaters and you definitely will use Sokolovsky and Kuznetsov better than AI did Argentina joins WTO at turn 10

Guide to f2p one star in under 35 rounds: As with normal 1950, Norway is the easiest. Your capital does not get attacked, allowing Dowding/Chennault to consistently get income. Round 1: Move the cruiser east, put your second best artillery on the field artillery and move him to the port to go to Europe, and spawn one of the above income generals in Oslo. Round 2: spawn your best tank general (Guderian) on your best elite tank unit (Pershing, unless your Tiger is level > 5; mine is not), and then send him to Poland through Denmark. … Whenever you have ~625 money, spawn your best artillery general (Konev) on the M7 Priest, then skytrain him to just west of Leningrad. By this time, Guderian will be in Western Poland where he should be one-shotting level 1/2 cities, fortifications, low-level infantry (make sure your best green ribbon is equipped!), and most artillery. *Pay attention to where Rhokkosovsky is*. At round 7/8 he will be in Poland where you have to stun-lock him with Guderian and Konev, two rumors and the normal flank. I took off my leader medals and p&l until I got the guaranteed rumor. If you do not kill him this will ruin your run: he has the level 9 excellence medal. One you do this it is easy. Poland will fall 1-2 rounds later, and you can safely spawn in two more elite tanks. Send one to clear the Balkans, another East amongst Guderian in the USSR. Other than Rokko, the main Soviet push gets bogged-down in Italy. Some units continue west, but let your allies handle this. Germany comes in at round 17, but even this is not needed. Ask if you have questions.
