Egypt is a doable one star 35-turn, just remember to bribe Germany before turn 15. Otherwise the entire frontline gets wrecked like mine did . Not sure if the run is savable.

Am I the only one who actually used South Korea for the 1-star speedrun? Got it in under 30 actually. Yes at the beginning its a fight for survival but you get 1 elite tank for free and can buy a second one at turn 2, but once you survive you have an excellent location to overrun China and invade Soviet backdoor as usual.

It is actually surprising how easy it is to collect the last milestone reward (fragments of Typhoon). I played only 3 conquests and already have more than enough points. I don't mind it, of course, but we should expect further stages, I believe.

F2P? I was wondering how hard it would be. One one hand, the enemy immediately surrounds you, but on the other, all the powerful Soviet gens are in Europe.

Try it So my team itself is f2p, not even near maxed f2p but just decent f2p, and I didnt deploy half my team out of laziness. BUT I do have (and used) the excellence medal on Guderian. Its entirely possible that the excellence medal is more powerful than half my team combined + playing speedrun seriously but idk
What I am quite confident about is that attacking Soviets from Siberia is the best option for speedrunning. China runs out of gens very quickly, and you don't face any serious opposition from the Soviets. The serious front is again Germany vs Soviets where Germany holds
Specifically about South Korea, the first 4-5 turns are harsh yeah, you need to hold your cities without your two tank gens bc they might get targeted (I think even by Typhoon sometimes) and die. The exception being when you use the Smokebomb of your Centurion, then you survive a full turn for free. Spawn light inf and eliminate as many threats as you can, mostly Chinese gens which are not so tanky. Once you secure the Korean peninsula with the immediate threats dead, you can enjoy a very easy and speedy conquest.
I think the role of the Excellence medal is only important if it massively helps in surviving the 4-5 turns. After that, the speed of the conquest is almost the same without.

Excellence medal is not that important when the combat is “spread out,” so once you’ve hit the criteria for surviving vs. having to restart. But it is literally like getting 3 generals at the start for the price of 1, which is massive for smaller countries, especially when there’s nowhere to run. I’ll try it tonight.

I found it optimal to declare war on Argentina round 1 so Brazil attacks them.

Does Iran change sides from NATO to WTO? I'd imagine that since the Falklands War is used to flip Argentina from neutral to WTO early on, surely there could be an event for the Iranian Revolution. This would flip it from being an American ally to being anti-American.

I think ET will add anti-NATO Iran in the new Conquest that they announced in July.

But most of the time they just get overran. Is there any good 2 Star nation to finish the 25 Turn conquest? With japan i achived 32 rounds.

With japan i achived 32 rounds. I completed the mission with Japan. I think it is a good 2* to complete under 30 since it can destroy 2 big WTO countries earlier and there is only one direction to conquer. Try again with the new strategies. I use 1 medic and 4 Eco gens to accumulate resources and try not to spend much in order to bribe W.Germany before 15 turns. At first I defended my islands and see if there were some China's unoccupied cities, I paratrooped and spawned Manstein on Pershing in the China mainland and the rest was cleaning 2 big WTO countries and went to Middle East and Europe. Edit : Don't put your Eco Gen in Tokyo or else The Soviets and China will nuke him. Recruit only 80-credit unit to draw nukes.

With japan i achived 32 rounds. I have done Iran and Japan in about 25 rounds, the former of which is definitely more difficult. The strategy with Japan is to use your navy to your advantage and strike through Korea. The general on Shanghai often gets “inspection,” so you can use a navy general with rumor to cheaply stun-lock him. In defeating China, it’s important to do a lot of the work on the same round and to defeat them swiftly: send a general to help with W China, establish a good perimeter around Peking, then use its missiles to take most of the remaining cities. As for Iran, send your infantry and default tank general through Israel to Egypt, put economic generals in that newly acquired territory, then use your own generals with rumor to defend the first wave of Soviet attacks. Then it should be safe to expand into central USSR and, especially, Poland, where enemy general density is low.

Basically, there are two flip states: (W) Germany who turns into a NATO state and Argentina who turns into a WTO state.
Argentina (by Turn 9): 720 dollars, 480 industry, 120 technology.
W Germany (by Turn 14): 1,800 dollars, 1,200 industry, 300 tech.
As for Iran, Turn 7 without anything. If a NATO faction bribes Argentina, will it turn? If not, Iran should be a permanent NATO member.
