Masamune, but if you’re in the early game you might want to try to get Miyamoto Musashi and max him out first.

Honestly, I'd go for Masamune over everybody else, especially in the erly stages. Its a fantastic gen and you'd get plenty of gold and iron bars from farming his legendary story.

Date is the best general in the game, and that probably includes IAPs.

I would get the Mounted Teppo first personally.
Magatoma are hard to farm without spending Ban Kin at the start of the game.
I'd check the achievements list, some for Maga are easy to complete at the start.

Is there a way to farm magatama than completing the campaign Getting fragments of generals by spending Magatama is a very tedious and unreliable way to create your team. More often than not your pulls will be disappointing. Your strategy should be different. As you noticed some famous generals have corresponding chapters. After completing these on hard difficulty you can sweep them receiving thus fragments of these generals (in addition to other resources). So you must build up your team around these generals since the chances to promote them are significantly higher than in other cases. So, Mori, Chosokabe, Akechi, Tokugawa, Hojo, Musashi and obviously Date Masamune are your best friends. Try to unlock them one way or the other (you can get some fragments for trading war souls as well, btw). Then try to complete their chapters on hard (some are easier to complete than the others) and then use your daily sweeps to get their fragments (and don't forget to send them on missions too). |

I think we cannot choose between two gold generals anymore. Before update I could make choice between Tokugawa(again) and Hideyoshi. Now in every recruitment category, I can only get the new Chinese gold cavalry general for the golden pick.

Now in every recruitment category, I can only get the new Chinese gold cavalry general for the golden pick. Don't be disappointed about it. This gold cavalry general is better than both of them. The only problem with him is his future promotion. But if you unlock a certain number of cities and castles in Tenkabito mode you can send him on missions and this alone will give you 1+2+3 fragments per day. Besides, Tokugawa's special chapter isn't a piece of cake even for mid-game players and Hideyoshi doesn't have a special chapter at all. So, you won't lose much in terms of potentially acquired fragments. |

After update I get purple infantry generals for about 30 rolls  . And I don't have a good archer general(currently I use Shibata and Nene, cavalry is covered by Honda and Keiji) |

I am more disappointed by the fact that before update I could have rolled Motochika and another purple archer general with 5 archer adaptability. After update I get purple infantry generals for about 30 rolls . And I don't have a good archer general(currently I use Shibata and Nene, cavalry is covered by Honda and Keiji) Yes, that is always an issue when new generals are released. But getting Motochika wasn't easy even before last updates. For some reasons the drop rate of his fragments is rather low. |

It’s just that probability says that it’s way more likely that you’d have some guys get a ton of frags and some guys fall a bit behind than everyone upgrading at the same rate. WHO those guys will be is going to be random though. I couldn’t get Hattori Hanzo for like 1000 rolls while some people here got him pretty much instantly. And Magatama got me a Sanada Masayuki a lot. I think in the short term like this it’s no big deal if you’ll have to do stuff like Katsuie on archers. The only reason I say to get Musashi maxed out first is because rank 6-ing him has a massive faction-wide benefit when doing challenge conquests unlike every other general in the game. |
