I found 1939 Romania fairly easy, tbh. It's mainly blitzing through the Balkans, Turkey and Egypt, as well as Poland and USSR and it's pretty much game over, the rest is just mopping up the world.
Has anyone managed to conquer the world with Yugoslavia? A lot of players, including me. The main thing is to destroy Bulgaria, then turn your arty gens to the invading Northerners. Interesting. I tried it the other day, with my beginning game tech. Lasted 4 turns

Tito is to distract the Germans, you have NO choice but to end the battle against Bulgaria quick. (I swear Yugoslavia 1939 was far easier when my HQ lvl was lower...)

So a little tip for Balkan Axis/WTO Nations: Make sure you capture a good city or two close to the Atlantic East coast. If not, you'll be scrambling to drag a whole force across allied troops, cities, and fortresses, which will hinder your movement, or be forced to use a coastal city in Eastern Asia as a base, which is still quite far and will take some time to reach. By making this you'll have a way easier time capturing the Americas

I found that Hungary is easy to play at 1939, even with low tech and generals. I beat it with only mostly lvl 2 tech and 2 starter generals+List from Berlin. I'll tell you guys how I did it:
For the first 10 rounds, my allies did great, but after that Germany and Japan starts to fall, so use those 10 rounds well. Don't attack any country, build field artilleries for long range attacks later on, and if you can try taking Belgrade. After 10+ rounds,I got 4 artilleries and at that time your allies starts getting weaker, the Allied countries starts wrecking Germany, yet you don't really need to help Germany, use your artilleries to snipe some soviet troops and generals that passes by, the AI is targeted on getting Germany and japan mainly, they don't really care about you. I killed 4 soviet generals from that and took Krakow from Poland and Kiev from Soviet after a few rounds. At this point, Germany and Spain,Italy should have taken France, Netherlands, Denmark and Belgium but UK and US is getting stronger, breaking into Berlin, though they managed to keep most of their cities.
I got some tanks and armored car and took Warsaw, then headed for Minsk, Riga and Leningrad. The generals guarding the cities should've fell already, so it's easy to take them, Romania helped took Stalingrad. After you've secured those places, UK should've gotten Copenhagen and Amsterdam, so defeat Norway and get back Copenhagen. From there on, it's easy to get the remains of soviet, once it's defeated, I took Amsterdam back from UK and started attacking London with artilleries and air strike, Manchester and Dublin fell shortly after you took London, so now you remains with Asia, West Africa and America still haven't conquered yet. I built heavy tanks and field artilleries from UK and started attacking Canada, also building tanks from Moscow and heading for Asia. Asia is under US control at that time, Japan is also defeated. I took Mongolia and Dihua+Lhasa from China first, then get armored cars from Ulan Bator to get Changchun and Peking, they are very weak. I got Chongking with tanks from Moscow, from there, taking the rest of China is easy. At the same time, Canada was defeated, so is New York Washington and Denver. When Pyongyang and Shanghai was secured, go to Japan and clear it from the Allied countries, also wiping out India, Yangon, Bangkok, Hanoi and Manila.
At last, I took the rest of US, leaving only Hawaii, also getting Singapore, Jakarta and Australia. I created carriers from US and bombed Hawaii, then that's GG.
If you guys have any problems or comment, pls reply, happy to reply back and look at your comments!

Well, I figured out how to win as Yugoslavia. The other important goal is to seize the cites Budapest, Vienna, Munich, Bucharest, namel3ss Romanian city and Prague (taking Krakow IS recommended but I can still play without it).
While you entrech yourself and slowly move against those cities via the Balkans and once Romania is yours, Belgrade is to fend off Italian naval landing while you march west from Romania.
When possible, take Athens and fend off the Italian naval assault, your goal here is to take the port and spawn subs.
Once the Axis naval influence is pushed back to Sicily, use Athens to invade North Africa. Belgrade to attack Naples. Meanwhile, if unable to attack, you MUST hold Romania and Hungary.
When Prague and Munich fall, Prague troops MUST move North to quickly enter Berlin (weaken due to Soviet suicide charge). Fortify Munich with Viennese troops and move against nearby forts before attacking nameless Italin city.
Berlin troops to secure region, then move against Cologne. When income permits, paratroop into nameless Polish city and attack Danzig in the north. Meanwhile take Alexandria (recommended but not necessary). If unable to, just lead the attack on nameless Libyan city. Athenians move against central area of North Africa while light inf storm Tripoli.

So you beat it with two eyecovered with no upgrades on anything, and a third-rate panzer general with weak skills. You, sir, are impressive. There needs to be a guide for this.

I think maybe HQ lvl matters. He's just starting off so HQ lvl is low, thus AI is not too advanced. Maybe you lvl up your HQ lvl, it increases AI difficulty. For example, I played Yugoslavia at low HQ lvl and found it easy. Now at HQ lvl 60+ I play it again. I find it annoying to beat (won at turn 88 this time). Note: This is just a theory.

My HQ lvl is 9 or 10 when I beat 1939, and I have 2 stars on tank on an eye-covered gen, which I upgrade him to sergeant

I upgraded him just because I'm curious though, and yes I'm going for academy generals, I got List first, then I got Ozawa after beating 1939. Now I'm working on 1943 for medals to buy Badoglio. But after all, I'm just getting medals
