No 1) Ukraine's song wasn't pointless, it was deeply emotional 2) that song was the best in therms of musicality(believe me I am professional musician) 3) no its not government it is a professional jury 4) thank god that jury give 50% yes it indeed had a point, insulting russia the jury is always politics and politics only, why does turkey gives cyprus points? Why does the netherlands give belgium points and vice versa? Why didnt ukrain give points to russia? Why did all eastern countries votr for ukrain? I can go on for a long time on this Jury had political voting in some cases, but Ukraine was the best in therms of musicality and none of other songs could be taken seriously as a contest songs.

the song was pointless you hear it in every paper today: eurovision 2016 is another politicial pupcase Hang on, so let me get this straight: The Ukrainian Song wasn't really the best one in terms of actual music, but Eastern European countries voted for it because of the political message? No song was good and it was very emotional.

The Light Bringer, simply because you are knowledgeable of Music doesn't mean that other people will like the song.

I like the show but yeah the artists are sponsored by countries so obviously much of it would be political, still it shouldnt stop us from appreciating musical talent and some pretty darn awesome light show and cool special effects. From the wiki explaining the case of Australia : Wiki"Each participating country submits an original song to be performed on live television and radio and then casts votes for the other countries' songs to determine the most popular song in the competition. The contest has been broadcast every year for sixty years, since its inauguration in 1956, and is one of the longest-running television programmes in the world. It is also one of the most watched non-sporting events in the world,[3] with audience figures having been quoted in recent years as anything between 100 million and 600 million internationally.[4][5] Eurovision has also been broadcast outside Europe to several countries that do not compete, such as the USA, Canada, New Zealand, and China. An exception was made in 2015, when Australia was allowed to compete as a guest entrant as part of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the event.[6][7][8] In November 2015, the EBU announced that Australia was effected as participant, after the 2015 success.[9] Since 2000, the contest has also been broadcast over the Internet, via the Eurovision website"
