early access is good for some games but there were cases of devs just taking all the money and canceling the game. Early access is as good as pre ordering, you don't know what you're getting at the end and there's a chance that you loose your money

I never place a pre-order nor purchase an early access (well, I did participate in beta-testing for indie games a couple of times).
Failure to launch. This is more or less the reason why I don't really bother with this sort of thing. I don't mind the game companies making it explicit and clearly state that they want money as a kickstarter fundraising effort to fund their games in the pre-release phase. That would have been far more honest.
