Do you need Mare Nostrum, cossacks, etc. if you want to buy the El Dorado DLC? Since I really want to do the custom nation thing. The only good thing in cossacks is that you can set your diplomatic opinion of others (friendly, defensive, protective, hostile, rival, etc) Favors tho. It makes the game harder, but more realistic.

Hearts of Iron 4 is comming out this year, june 6th,game really looks awesome and i'm really hyped to play it. Its way easier to play then hoi3 and has alot of less micro mangement The simplicity killed it for me.

I want this game badly but I can't buy it Honestly, waiting is probably in your best interest. It needs a lot of work. Hoi3 is still great too.

I tried it, had a blast playing it. Yeah the AI really need some work, but certainly a big leap forward from the Hearts of Iron III.

How to get resources like rubbers, tungsten, oil?

How to get resources like rubbers, tungsten, oil? Invade countries with lots of it or trade with countries with a lot of it. Trading is risky for some countries as well if you can't protect your convoys. Off the top of my head some good places for the different resources are: Oil: Romania, Venuzuela, The Middle East (Iraq has a few hundred I think) and the Soviet Union and US have heaps but are hard to invade. Rubber (this one is probably the rarest and hardest to get): Found in large ammounts in Indonesia and Brazil has some. Tungsten: I'm not sure about this one, I've never really had a tungsten problem. I think Boliva and Portugal have a fair amount of the top of my head. If if you go into the trade screen you can use it to find countries with lots of resources you need so you know who to invade.

What is the best doctrine for land air and navy? There is no "best doctrine" it entirely depends on what country you are and your play style as to which one is most ideal.

To the people that convinced me to get this game, I already love it! I bought it today, and I'm playing as the USSR. I annexed Finland and became the world's most aggressive nation! I can't wait to see who wins my War!

One question: How do I know how powerful a general is? I used Zhukov, Budyonny, and some other guy to invade Finland, and of course Zhukov did the best. But how do I know if Zhukov's a better general than Vasilevsky?

But how do I know if Zhukov's a better general than Vasilevsky? When you use them, look to the left. If you see the number, probably a 2 3 or 4, the higher is better. Then look under his name and you will see some medals, those are skills, mouse over them to see what they are.
