Poland is very hard to play, Smigly was kinda screwed over in terms of his abilities and the Polish get absolutely terrible cities. If you read into their defenses and battles though, they fought quite bravely and much better than France, they just were COMEPLETELY overwhelmed by the Luftwaffe and Panzerwaffe.

If you read into their defenses and battles though, they fought quite bravely and much better than France, they just were COMEPLETELY overwhelmed by the Luftwaffe and Panzerwaffe. Oh yes, they fought incredibly bravely. At Wizna, 700 Poles fought against the entire German 3rd Army with its 300 tanks and held out for three days against them. Not to mention the Warsaw Uprising, multiple other rebellions, and their service throughout the different fronts of the war as volunteers or as fighters for the Polish Government in Exile. The Norwegians also fought very bravely against the Germans. They held out longer than France did (Norway fell after ~6 months, while France fell ~4 or 5 months). They then led multiple raids against the Germans in their homeland with aid of the Brits. |

Bir Hakeim where he was stopped by a far smaller French unit wasting days of valuable time |

Eisenhower nuked to hell  ;( |

Napoleon Bonaparte, you should have known better than that. I was pretty sure that you knew this unspoken rule in the cold war: City + a general high HP = obscene nuke magnet. Plus when your northern neighbor (PRC) is the enemy of yours, the AI in Peking is way more nuke-obessed than Kim Jong, even more than the infamous UK on the NATO side vs the player on WTO side. You actually begged to be nuked by Mao on the spot with Eisenhower sitting there in near by Taipei. Tsk tsk.

Plus when your northern neighbor (PRC) is the enemy of yours, the AI in Peking is way more nuke-obessed than Kim Jong, even more than the infamous UK on the NATO side vs the player on WTO side. Pretty easy, it takes a while annexing a country of 1.2 Billions peasants to your kingdom though. When in doubt, nuke the scum to make sure they are disinfected before giving them an order to polish the floor clean. |

Pretty easy, it takes a while annexing a country of 1.2 Billions peasants to your kingdom though. I just use the cheapest nukes, 300 gold per warhead. A nuke is a nuke, and in the end, it wipes either a small city down to zero or a large city by half HP. It only matter how often you can throw them around within the 9 nukes limit. Later on the last parts of a conquest for me would be tossing 6 to 8 nukes per 2 turns at whoever is still alive. |
