1960 has the potential to be the best by a long margin, but it gets completely halted due to Africa and south east asia. If France was given algeria and tunisia and britan sudan and libya and spain morrcco netheralnds get boreno and brits stay in burma and malaya with the frenchies in vietnam. 1960 WOULD BE THE BEST!

1939 has balance. It's also the most EW4-like of the eras Balance? It's heavily weighted toward the Axis. But then 1943 flips to heavily weighted toward the Allies. So you get play either side by coasting  Ever heard of something called "Blamey"? |

Yes and it's only a problem if you care more about turn numbers than getting the resources. Otherwise, it doesn't matter if Blamey takes 25 or 40 turns for your autoplay to kill. I do pause and send the carriers around Mexico then through the canal (the AI always manage to get at least 4 produced then left stuck in the gulf of Mexico). Or force production of carriers from Hawaii. Then resume autoplay, it probably save about 10-15 turns for the AI. |

EasyTech really messed up the 1939/43 ai and balance Not really that messed up much as 50/60 which is favored toward WTO. 1939 is meant to represent the rise of Axis and 1943 is supposed to be when things got turned around and the Allies push back to win WW2. 50/60 is Chinese propaganda trying to convince themselves that they're worthy of global domination.  |
