When playing Hold the Ground in WC3 try to put units between the enemy and the defence objective to blockade them from reaching their goal on time.

This photo is just an example not a real conquer world play. If you want to capture stronger cities;, build bunkers and land forts around the city while attacking the city with artillery. *place the land forts 2 squares from the city, so the enemy can't attack it with is infantery or normal tanks* We have that in China, popular tactic in conquest. Maybe we can call it "pocket"?

Or Just BOMBARD the Hell out of them with Arty, Land Fort and Air (even nukes as well)

Or Just BOMBARD the Hell out of them with Arty, Land Fort and Air (even nukes as well) Yes but using a nuke on a lvl 1 city isn't worth it. My Guderian can conquer a lvl 1 city in one turn and with some luck a lvl 2 city

When playing as France in 1950 build a nuke in turn 2 and use it on Budapest moving your MI right next to it to capture the city knocking out Hungary very quickly.
(I bet this has been said already)

In EW4, be careful with your cavalry generals without Leadership. Cavalry usually goes to the back lines and harrases the artillery, but one lucky charge with flank can drastically reduce their output and put them in immediate danger.

In EW4, when an enemy cities unit is low health and you have only one unit with a move left, do not kill him, instead wait till the next turn to kill him with one unit and take with the other as they will just build a new unit.
HOW CAN I SHORTEN THIS?

Save prior to action, have Horses that can attack twice,if succeed then you can move eafter attack, there is no faster way. this is only way to do it alone, otherwise, I'm following with other units and when it's cucial checking their movement range .

In EW4, always attack a city with at least one double formation cavalry group or TWO double (or triple if possible) infantry units (wait until one infantry can kill enemy alone for tactic to work). This will ensure that the turn you kill defenders you can take city. Shoutout to Bismark for saying the same thing before me just less specific, I stole his thunder

In EW4, if you are trying to 5 stars for a hard campaign, you can keep using save and load to get the most damage dealt from your generals (assault art is helpful here). This is important when you are trying to capture a city with cavalry, you can kill enemy and take over in 1 turn rather than in 2 turns.

i have played conquest sardinia, i made all enemies and all allies trapped in confusion by occupying their farms. it was a long battle but fun. i betrayed great britain, holy roman empire, and russia by occupying some of their cities. it was fun.

If you are playing campaign, it is (most of the time) best to let a general die rather then take them away from the front lines to regain health. Be sure to make the best use of the general, but also know that trying to keep him alive may cost you the five stars.
