But Yekaterina was not a gen. Monty didn't deserve it because of the pride. Columbus might just be less deserving than Goering. At least Goering had a plane. Columbus was a person who couldn't do math right, found a place by accident, genocided the land, and got '1st European discoverer of America' and his holiday? c'mon! Leif the lucky would want a word with him. Alex deserved the fame. He beat the largest empire at the time, and his gen skills were good for the time. Also, he spread Greek culture to the mideast, and influenced the Romans. Don't tell me the Diadochi wasn't influential. Columbus, BLAH, I hate his guts. Of course, the Old and New Worlds needed to meet at some point, and disease wouldve decimated the population anyhow, but he committed a genocide, wiping out the Taino people of the Bahamas. And about the holiday, FDR promised he would make Columbus Day a Federal History in his 1940 presidential campaign (I believe, couldve been 1944, but I'm almost certain it was 1940) in order to sway the Italian-American vote to him, so the holiday was really started as a campaign stunt. Ahh... so a genocider had his own holiday whist another genocider was denounced by the exact same nation... the irony...

It's not just Aussies and the COmmonwealth who use make. I thought you were refering to the United States. As East of Russiya is US. I believe you mean the Land of the Free? ;-) Also, here is a picture of what id assume the Danubian Confederation would look like (Hungary, Ruthenia, Poland, Croatia, Dalmatia, Banat, Transylvania, and Slavonia are Kingdoms in the Confederation and not puppets, the country is meant to be one unified state with multiple regions having autonomy) What is that game its familliar

On the subject of alternate history it would be good to talk about HRE campaing from EW4 like it was real history ( I know HRE existed but they didnt conqer the world ) We should talk about all the battles individually and The battle for Asia and Who would win the battle Prussia or Austria

Also, do you really think the UK will help anyone fight through Asia? Splendid Isolation, my friend, Splendid Isolation. Britian would ally with anyone who was against HRE/Prussia and kill it.

Ok The thread was sucsessfull and grew big and I want to ask you did Alexander the Great Columbus Ney Murat Montgomery Göring and Catherine the Great Murat was Loyal a great general but sadly executed bud he deserved more good. Ney was not the best general he liked strenght and that was shown at Waterloo because Napoleon's force was desemated because of him Alexander wasnt a good general only the weapons and tech were advanced Göring didnt deserve fame. But this is my opinion Alex the Great: Good strategist+tactician. His genius lies in assimilating the countries he conquered however. Without his skill, the would be rebellions everywhere. Columbus: Terrible person. He enslaved natives, gave them diseases. He may not even have seen America first in his voyage (from what I remember, a crewman yelled out that he found land, but Columbus claimed he saw the glint in his cabin) Ney: Le Brave des Braves. Bravery was his strength and weakness. Under Napoleon, he could do risky actions (Friedland, Eylau, and Borodino comes to mind). Independent command was a different story however (Jena, Waterloo). In the end his execution was a political one, and the fact he had promised to bring Napoleon in an iron cage. Murat: He ran from Russia to save Naples. Made a deal with the coalition to save Naples. The only reason he was executed was that he rebelled to make Naples his kingdom still. Loyal? No. Murat was also defeated by Golitsyn in Golymin despite more numbers. Lassalle was better. Montgomery: Cautious and very well-planned. After Africa he could not cooperate with other commanders and Market Garden was a failure costing some airborne units (training them wasn't exactly put a parachute and gun then throw them out of a plane) Göring: He had many warcrimes. He also overestimated the Luftwaffe and failed Hitler many times, including at Dunkirk and Stalingrad. Catherine the Great: A really good Russian monarch. She had to good sense to pardon and use Suvorov many times, Russia expanded greatly in her time. Sadly Peter was less competent than her.
