I believe you mean the Land of the Free? ;-) Also, here is a picture of what id assume the Danubian Confederation would look like (Hungary, Ruthenia, Poland, Croatia, Dalmatia, Banat, Transylvania, and Slavonia are Kingdoms in the Confederation and not puppets, the country is meant to be one unified state with multiple regions having autonomy) .org/image/x4yd083m9/] [/url]

Ok The thread was sucsessfull and grew big and I want to ask you did Alexander the Great Columbus Ney Murat Montgomery Göring and Catherine the Great
Murat was Loyal a great general but sadly executed bud he deserved more good. Ney was not the best general he liked strenght and that was shown at Waterloo because Napoleon's force was desemated because of him
Alexander wasnt a good general only the weapons and tech were advanced Göring didnt deserve fame.
But this is my opinion

Nope. Alex was still a good gen, but he wasn't as good as Temujin. Walpole......if he appears in the new game, imagine how he would be on cav! (Probably not appearing judging from the era, but c'mon, it's Easytech!) Goering is a terrible man who denied his war crimes--even when proof was shown to him. Ney was not exactly good, but at least loyal. Murat deserved more. Columbus is on my list of people who did crimes against humanity. Monty was too careful, cautious and prideful for his own good. Since when was Yekaterina Velikaya a great gen?

Columbus might just be less deserving than Goering. At least Goering had a plane. Columbus was a person who couldn't do math right, found a place by accident, genocided the land, and got '1st European discoverer of America' and his holiday? c'mon! Leif the lucky would want a word with him. Alex deserved the fame. He beat the largest empire at the time, and his gen skills were good for the time. Also, he spread Greek culture to the mideast, and influenced the Romans. Don't tell me the Diadochi wasn't influential.

Of course, the Old and New Worlds needed to meet at some point, and disease wouldve decimated the population anyhow, but he committed a genocide, wiping out the Taino people of the Bahamas. And about the holiday, FDR promised he would make Columbus Day a Federal History in his 1940 presidential campaign (I believe, couldve been 1944, but I'm almost certain it was 1940) in order to sway the Italian-American vote to him, so the holiday was really started as a campaign stunt.
