Continuing on... Great BritainPros:4 excellent commander (Wellesley, Drummond, Cotton, Sidney) Good economy Relatively safe from enemies Access to Spain, Rhine, Netherlands, Denmark, France Wellesley in London to make a ton of money Drummond is on Rocket (No retaliation when attacking) You can use 4 commanders this time (Normally GB only allows 3 to be used) Cons:France will likely go all out to destroy you Takes quite a while to get to Italy, Africa, and Ottomans Portugal needs to be saved Spain is annoying to destroy Overall Verdict: Medium. Good potential but you might need a commander or two (Better yet, use all 4 open slots) Needs to focus on Spain and Mediterranean immediately I think that with the right generals, any conquest is easy imo. Lan, Isabella, and Sophia can take out anyone in their way Fair point, but I'm assuming someone has just started and has no generals or maybe one or two

I could stomp all over Europe 1809 with Naples using Ney, Scharnhorst, Ushakov, Sulkowski, Sophia, and Golitsyn or Collingwood

There is the massive conquest grind set up, but I'd recommend Battle of Trafalgar without pressing the skip enemy turn button instead. Which will get you 10-15 medals per play (My experience at least) Not exactly the most efficient grinding system in the game but you have what you have. As you progress through the campaigns, Cyrus the Great , I would recommend The Liberation of Rhine (Third to last Coalition) or Expedition Russia (Sixth to last Imperial Eagle) Adding one more campaign that I tend to use for grinding. Reconstruction of Empire (Holy Roman Empire 7). I tend to get more medals from playing as Austria

Its been over a year since this thread was updated... by me no less. Lol I guess I can continue since I continue to post in the EW4 section of the forum mainly Ok, here we go: PRUSSIAPros: You get Blucher, Scharnhorst, and Kleist to begin 4 deployable generals Rhine and Denmark are weak Eastern flank is secure: No Poland to distract you Cons: Africa and Iberia are... pains to say the least Ottomans take a while to get to Italy is a pain You may need to liberate most of the U.K. Overall: Decent for medal farming, not much else. Prussia is one of the stronger countries in 1806 though Difficulty: Easy

Lol I guess I can continue since I continue to post in the EW4 section of the forum mainly RUSSIAPros: Kutuzov, Yermolov are passable gens Alex I? Meh, but fort cracker on guards cav is better than nothing Ottomans are your only enemy to begin with: you border Austria and Prussia to your west, no Poland Nice starting economy Cons: Spain and Africa. Its ALWAYS Spain and Africa Italy is a pain to get to Britain may need to be saved Difficulty: Easy for normal conquest. Speedrunning? You're out of your mind

Also, I will only be doing 4 and 5 star countries for these conquests. With Europe especially listing every country will get old REAL quick

With Europe especially listing every country will get old REAL quick OTTOMANSPros: Ottoman Guards, Heavy Cav, and Heavy artillery are OP Quick access to Austria and Russia You start of with a decent economy If you play your cards right you can take care of the Mediterranean rather quick. Cons: Bad starting gens. (Milinovic on Heavy art is your only bright spot) Notably, this is an issue for the Ottomans in every conquest You need to act quick to save Rhine and Denmark Portugal and Morocco take time to get to Overall: Need a good gen or two but Ottomans are a great country for 1806 Difficulty: Easy with gens, Easy/Medium without

Seriously, Rhine sucks without gens Cons: You deal with every major coalition country pretty early on. Your gens suck Your allies aren't very good (aside from France but France tends to fall quickly) Takes a while to get to russia. Difficulty: Very Hard

I played as the Rhine 1806 once, without gens, and I had to initiate "trench warfare" against the Coalition spam.

Its one of the hardest 4/5 star conquests out there tbh It's only for experienced players, especially if you're doing a no-gens run. Frederick was a great economic gen. Keeping him in Frankfurt will be the best strategy until a breakthrough in Germany is achieved.

I played as the rhine once, I surprisingly beat the collation by making a defensive in balvaria and using my generals and France to take down Prussia. After that I defeated Austria and took on Russia.

Great thread! It seems like each campaign has 1 or 2 favored 5 star countries for speed runs and then 1 overpowered 2 star for giving your generals some exercise. In 1776 for example, Brunswick, Saxony, and Poland are all 2 stars but Poland starts with 3 double strength units whereas Brunswick and Saxony each have only 1.
Romania in 1815 is also a lot of fun to play because you start with 4 strong units .

I'll add that tavern generals can be extremely useful for certain conquests. If you give the light horse and light infantry next to ushakov in 1776 russia generals, they can race to the portuguese port next to yorktown by round 10 or so. Then you can add elphinstone to a frigate and take out Collingwood in Baltimore.
