If you stayed in Serbia, yes you would have Serbia. You were there in the spring.
Fall 1901 A SER-BUD
You moved back to Budapest for whatever reason (I have a suspect). I will PM you about it.

I would argue you send them and those sets that does not interfere can be done? But the decission is on deso France has 5sc isnt? Spain and portugal gained? Edit: and indeed austria has serbia so 3sc Well the problem is, Germany now knows exactly where the French, English, Italian, and Russian went. He would have the advantage of knowing where to move around to avoid interference. I would love to give him a shot, but I can't give him something unfair to everyone else on that principle. France and Austria doesn't get those SCs from Spring. If I failed to explain that clearly, I need to do a better job.... Fall seasons are the only seasons you can make a capture. Spring seasons are pure movement. It gives people time to respond in defense between fall seasons and for a different person time to prepare an attack before the next fall season.

I'm thinking about what normally happens in a Diplomacy game.... A new player enters the hobby and is get torn apart in shock of how things work, a new player tends to make mistakes and gets hurt the most by those mistakes... late orders, missing captures, allowing vital neighboring regions be dominated by someone else... it can turn people off from playing it again and do better and better as he learns how to play Diplomacy. I don't want any of you get a bad taste of Diplomacy because it's really a neat and unique game. I think it's best if I cancel the fall 1901 orders and ask all of you to redo this phase. Now, keep in mind that it is NOT normal for a GM to reverse a phase at all! Normally, what is done is done, and each player must face the consequences (including the good consequences too). But we have four separate disasters happening here at the same time. I would say an enforced progression hurts the experience of the game for the majority of people here, and we do have many first-timers here. So while I wasn't originally planning on redoing the fall 1901 season, but the facts of this case compels me to do the best as I can do as the GM, not just a GM to the game but also being a GM to all seven of you to the best of my abilities. Napoleon Bonaparte, Frederick the Great, Der Kaiserreich, Von Bismarck jr, Quintus Fabius, Singlemalt, Ivan Kolev. The recent fall 1901 is repelled, and a deadline is set roughly 58 hours from now (basically 48 hours from tonight 6pm). Sept 16, 6pm. Please consult your allies, talk to enemies, greet your neighbors and use this time wisely to prepare for the captures of SCs this fall.

Is 58 hours too much? I was considering 34 hours (basically tmw night 6pm - Chicago time - Sept 15th)
Would 34 hours be too harsh and doesn't give enough time to discuss and prepare, or is 58 hours too much of a burden and makes you all wait too long?
I'm open to feedback here.

Reminder about the deadline for the revised Fall 1901: Napoleon Bonaparte, Frederick the Great, Der Kaiserreich, Von Bismarck jr, Quintus Fabius, Singlemalt, Ivan Kolev If all of you give me orders for the redo season before tomorrow night (almost 20 hours from now), I can proceed to the winter phase next. This means the fall 1901 would have had only 34 hours in total. You guys wouldn't have to wait so long. Or... If I don't get all orders by tomorrow night, the phase continues for the full 58 hours and must be completed by Sept 16, 6pm Chicago time (or midnight London). You guys would definitely have enough time to get things back on track in this game. Deal?

Isnt time to move on? And can this thread be pinned as well since its active game play? Can't process with one player not submitted his orders yet. I guess he prefers to wait a bit longer. I will respect his choice since I did offer two alternatives out of my own mouth.

Had an unusual issue with the battery in my old laptop. I had to plug it and wait long enough before it finally was able to boot up. I'm glad it works out fine. I don't want to drive over to the university and use one of their computers.
