I'm suprised people vote Davout. I think that he's actually pretty bad to be spending emblems on. I would take Moreau everyday of the week month and year Origin Davout has bad stars but great skill, trained Davout is worth to buy. 2nd best hybrid general

Hence why I like Lasalle and Golitsyn way more than Berthier.

I would take Moreau everyday of the week month and year Moreau is for artillery only, great output but,as sir Isaac Brock said earlier,he misses geography and therefore slow.On the other hand,Davout is a great hybrid, also with assault art and geography,he probably beats Moreau and has the highest output in artillery if assault art triggers. Also,I would like to say that if you want artillery only then buy Moreau, otherwise,Davout is the guy.

When I play the game, I see little to no use for hybrids in my play style. During campaign, they usually give you at least one artillery unit. And in conquest, I save up for the best rocket artillery and heavy artillery anyway so hybrids mean nothing there.

Hence why I like Lasalle and Golitsyn way more than Berthier. I have different style. I care about maxed out gen more than origin him. That's why i regroup Lasalle to have slot for Dombrowski, and buy Berthier instead of Golitsyn.

I certainly don't play enough to be able to afford a max general. It took me, what, a year and a half to beat the game? I only open it occasionally because of the Glory of Conquest mod.

Assault art doesn't increase damage. It just make you reach the highest limit of your current range of damage. Assaut art triggered Davout in Arti is equal to Moreau in special condition without evasion of terrain, the others less damage. About Geo, Morreau has Engineering, when max out stars and have full item, Davout and Moreau have same range of movement (Moreau need 1 war horse and +2 move item, Davout need 2 +2 move items)

So as you wish, but Davout is probably better. And by the I like hybrids.Just as the YouTube EW4 walkthrough uploader,he uses Graham as his hybrid, and he wins every mission.Right now I'm missing a hybrid cuz Sophia is only useful on arty cuz she's trained in it.(DON'T EVER BUY A HYBRID,hybrids are useful only when you are playing coalition, cuz it gives random units).

Having one Hybrid is useful in all campaigns, as the lineup always somewhat varies, and there's often no time to build a new one. Since we have 2 Artillery pures in the form of Princesses, Moreau makes less sense than a hybrid to buy

For Davout vs Moreau, it is like sl vs non-sl. Davout's hybird seems not THAT awesome for me, because I like cav-inf(-navy-anything) hybrid the most(Archduke or Kutuzov), arty and cav are both main unit and I have serious proplem choosing which unit to put it on if I have both.

W/O item, Moreau can be slower than Davout in some cases because of terrain, but with item, they are equal. And buying 2 Arti +2 movement item is less useful than 1 + 2 movement for Arti and 1 War horse (which can use for every Non-Geo generals).
